Sicherung für Möbeifussverpackungen.
Bis nun werden die zum Versand bestimmten oder auf Lager zu haltenden Möbel an ihren Füssen mit einer Verpackung versehen, welche aus Stroh, Holzwolle, Papier oder mehreren dieser Stoffe gleichzeitig besteht und mittels in Schraubenlinien herum gewundener und verknüpfter Schnüre gehalten wird.
Ein fester Halt derartiger Verpackungshüllen wird dadurch aber nicht erreicht ; namentlich beim Verladen und Umladen derartiger mit ihren Füssen gegeneinander gerichtet zusammengestellter Möbelstück, insbesondere Sessel, tritt leicht ein Aufreissen der Stroh-oder Papierhüllen an den Fussenden ein, so dass nach
Anlagen an dem Bestimmungsort kostspielige und viel Zeit erfordernde Manipulationen notwendig sind, um die Verpackung und den zumeist beschädigten Fuss wieder instand zu setzen.
Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Sicherung für derartige Fussverpackungon, welche die genannten Übelstände beseitigt, ohne die Kosten zu erhöhen.
Diese Sicherung besteht aus einer neuartigen Verschnürung, welche die Verpackung bzw. Umhüllung samt vorteilhaft über dieselbe gelegten, an sich bekannten Schutzstreifen aus Pappe, Furnier oder dgl. dauernd festhält und gegen Aufreissen und Abstreifen von den Füssen sichert.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht diese Sicherung beispielsweise an einem verpackten Sesselfuss.
Die aus Stroh, Holzwolle, Bast, Papier oder dgl. bestehende Umhüllung a wird mit einem Streifen b aus Abfallmaterial, wie Furnier oder Pappe, dessen Verwendung zu Schutzstreifen bekannt ist, an der einwärts gegen die Mittelachse des Sessels gekehrten Seite der Länge nach belegt und das über das Fussende vorstehende Endstück dieses Streifens kappenartig auf die das Fussende deckende Umhüllung niedergebogen, so dass das äusserste Ende des Schutzstreifens längs eines Teiles der Aussenseite des Fusses bzw. seiner Umhüllung zu liegen kommt.
Die den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildende, zum Festhalten der Umhüllung a und des Schutzstreifens b dienende Verschnürung besteht aus einer Schnur c, welche in Form einer Schleife um das Fussende herumgelegt und verknotet ist und sodann längs der Fussinnenseite empor bis zum Sitz, Versteifungsreifen oder einem sonstigen Möbeltet ! geführt und an diesem befestigt ist ; in dieser Schnur sind in entsprechenden Abständen von- einander Knoten d angebracht. Der andere Teil der Verschnürung besteht aus kurzen
Schnurstücken f, die in Form von Ringen um die Umhüllung herumgelegt und einzeln festgeknüpft sind.
Hiebei empfiehlt es sich, diese untereinander mehr oder weniger parallelen Schnurringe so zu verlegen. dass sie dicht an die Knoten Åa zu liegen kommen, und zwar bei aufgestelltem Möbelstück oberhalb dieser Knoten, so dass sie an diesen eine
Stütze finden und ein Abstreifen der Schnurringe von dem Fuss infolge äusserer Ein- wirkungen verhindert ist.
Durch das Zusammenwirken dieser Verschnürung mit der Umhüllung ist eine dauernd sichere Verpackung erzielt, während der die Umhüllung kappenartig deckende Schutz- streifen, der in manchen Fällen auch wegbleiben kann, das Aufreissen oder Zerfasern der
Umhüllung, insbesondere am Fussende, verhindert und eine feste Unterlage für die Ver- schnürungsteile bildet.
