Die Vergasungskammer 4 ist luftdicht, eo dass ohne Oxydationsgefahr ein metallenes Kohlungsgefäss benutzt werden kann.
Man kann auch das aus der Kohlungskammer oder dem Koblungsgefäss 7 austretende Gas zum Heizen des Ofens verwenden ; zu diesem Zwecke ist beispielsweise das Austrittsrohr 9 durch das Rohr 13 mit der Feuerungskammer in Verbindung gebracht.
Um die Temperatur der zu behandelnden Gegenstände messen zu können, ist in das Austrittsrohr 9 ein Pyrometer 14 eingesetzt.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Vorrichtung zur Oberflächenkohlung eiserner Gegenstände mittels kohienstoS'-attiger Gase oder Dämpfe, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die zur Erzeugung der kohlenden Gase bestimmte Vergasungskammer zwischen der Heizkammer und der Kohlungskammer angeordnet und mit der letzteren durch Öffnungen in der Zwischenwand verbunden ist.
