Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    Bekleidung fertiger, glatter Putgflächen.

    Cladding of finished, smooth plastered surfaces.

   It is already known to produce cladding for ceilings and walls except by direct application of plastering material in such a way that on the surface to be clad z. B. only a wire mesh attached and the plaster forming mortar mass is pressed against this. Although the last-mentioned type of production of plastered surfaces achieves better adhesion of the mortar mass to the surface to be covered, in this case too the resistance of the finished plastered surface that is exposed leaves much to be desired.

   The present invention now aims to make or harden the finished smooth plastered surface (e.g. mortar or gypsum plaster) of the walls and ceilings of buildings produced in any known manner by means of a cladding that consists of the plastered surfaces a wide-meshed fabric and on the latter a protective layer of cement is placed. The applied cement penetrates the maiaelia openings of the fabric and consequently adheres permanently to the plastered surface, while such permanent adherence cannot be achieved when the cement is applied directly to the plastered surface.

   For the purpose of practical implementation of the method, the fabric is advantageously attached to the plaster surface with the aid of a mixture of glue and Herg chalk known per se, by brushing the latter with the said mixture and then pressing the fabric on while it is moist, whereupon the cement layer is finally applied .
