Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Schaltungsanordnung zum Anlassen von Metalldampflampen.
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Accordingly, one also has two contacts J and K2 for short-circuiting parts W1 of the two resistors and two main current magnets Dl and D2, but only one shunt coil C, which has the same task as in the previous example. It is put out of action after ignition by the interrupter y actuated by a magnet X.
The two main current magnets also have the task of attracting armature A and keeping contacts Kund K2 open if, when the burner is tilted, a short circuit occurs temporarily between the two anodes and the bypass magnet becomes inactive. Instead of short-circuiting only part of the resistor, the entire resistor W can also be short-circuited through the contacts K if necessary.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Circuit arrangement for starting metal filament lamps, e.g. B. quartz mercury vapor lamps, for direct and alternating current, in which a series resistor or part of the same is short-circuited during the burn-in time with decreasing current strength, characterized in that to eliminate the strong current surge when the lamp is switched on, a shunt coil at the moment of switching on immediately before it arises of the ignition circuit connects the entire resistance.
