Einrichtung zur Verhinderung von Schalterschäden .bei Lichtbogenöfen Zusatz zum Patent 68o G I4 Das Hauptpatent betrifft eine Einrichtung, die Schalterschäden bei Lichtbogenöfen, insbesondere für größere Stromstärke, dadurch vermeidet, daß die Elektroden beim Abschalten von der Stromquelle automatisch vom Einsatz fort hochlaufen und daß die Spannungsspulen des Netzschalters zwecks Verhinderung seiner Betätigung so lange überbrückt bleiben, bis die Elektroden einen. bestimmten einstellbaren Abstand durchlaufen haben. Auf diese Weise wird verhindert, daß das Wiedereinschalten bei Vollast erfolgt. Die Schalter werden aber in hohem Maße auch beim Ausschalten beansprucht. Es zeigt sich sogar vielfach eine nachteilige Wirkung auf das Elektrizitätsversorgungsnetz, wenn der Großverbraucher aus Vollast abgeschaltet wird. Es hat sich nun herausgestellt, daß dieser Nachteil dadurch behoben werden kann, daß man vor dem Schalterfall die Elektroden automatisch etwas zurückzieht, so daß die Widerstände für die Strombahnen vergrößert werden und sich damit die Stromstärke vermindert. Das dazu verwendete Verzögerungsrelais hat dabei seine ähnliche Wirkung wie das überbrückungsrelais bei der Einrichtung des Hauptpatents. Die Verwendung des Verzögerungsrelais ist aber insofern vorteilhafter als sowohl das Abschalten wie auch das Einschalten bei Vollast vermieden wird.Device for the prevention of switch damage.
