Messvorrichtung zur Herstellung von Schnitten für Damentaillen, Jacken oder dgl.
Bei Herstellung von Schnitten für Damentaillen, Jacken oder dgl. war es bisher üblich, die Oberweite sowie die Taillenweite zu messen und die Differenz zwischen beiden Massen an gewissen Teilen des Schnittes herauszuschneiden, um die Taille oder dgl. der betreffenden Person anzupassen. Abgesehen davon, dass bei diesem Vorgang mehrere Proben erforderlich sind, um ein gutes Sitzen des Kleidungsstückes zu erzielen, wird für Damen, bei welchen dieselbe Oberweite gemessen wird, derselbe Schnitt hergestellt, trotzdem eine jede verschiedene Rücken- bzw. Brustbildung besitzt.
Dieser Nachteil ist durch die den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildende Messvorrichtung behoben, deren Wesen darin besteht, dass eine Messchiene mit in der Höhen-und Querrichtung verschieb-und feststellbar angeordneten Messstäben versehen ist, welch letztere bei lotrechter Einstellung der Schiene und Anlegen derselben an die Brustwölbung in die Höhenlage des Halsansatzes bzw. des Schlusses gebracht und bis zu diesen vorgeschoben, in der Summe der herausgeschobenen Stücke jenes Mass ergeben, welches aus dem Vorderteil des Taillenschnittes herauszunehmen ist.
In der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand beispielsweise dargestellt, und zwar zeigt Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht der Messvorrichtung in Gebrauchsstellung, Fig. 2 eine Vorderansicht der Vorrichtung und Fig. 3 eine Seitenansicht derselben in Gebrauchsstellung bei Damen mit starkem Unterleib.
Die Messvorrichtung besteht aus einer mit einer Einteilung versehenen Messschiene 1, an deren oberem Ende eine Hülse unverrückbar befestigt ist, während eine zweite Hülse 3 an der Messschiene 1 verschiebbar und durch die Schraube 4 an derselben feststellbar angeordnet ist. Jede dieser Hülsen nimmt einen ebenfalls mit einer Einteilung versehenen, in seiner Längsrichtung verschiebbaren Messstab 5 bzw. 6 auf, der durch Schrauben 7 beziehungsweise 8 in jeder Lage festgehalten werden kann. An der vorderen Fläche der Messschiene 1 ist am oberen Ende derselben ein Pendel 9 aufgehängt, das durch eine Marke 10 die lotrechte Lage der Messschiene anzeigt und längs einer Skala spielt.
Der Vorgang beim Massnehmen ist folgender : Man legt die Messschiene an die Brustwötbung derart an, dass sie eine lotrechte Lage einnimmt (Fig. 1), was jederzeit durch das Pendel 9 und die zugehörige Marke 10 zu erkennen ist, und der obere Mess- stab 5 an den Halsansatz zu liegen kommt, während der untere Messstab 6 mittels der Hülse bis zur Schlusshöhe verstellt wird. An der Teilung der Messstäbe kann man die
Länge der herausgeschobenen Stücke derselben ablesen, die in ihrer Summe jenes Mass angeben, welches bei Taillenschnitten oder dgl. herausgeschnitten werden soll.
Wenn eine lotrechte Einstellung der Messschiene nicht möglich ist und diese eines- teils auf der Brustwölbung, anderenteils auf dem Unterleib der Dame aufliegt (Fig. 3), so ist daraus zu entnehmen, dass die Schnitte infolge des ? u stark ausgebildeten Unter- leibes unterhalb der Hüftengegend um einige Zentimeter erweitert werden müssen. Dies hat man natürlich our bei Jacken, Mänteln oder dgl. zu berücksichtigen, da Taillen oder dgl. nur bis zur Sch ! ussböhe reichen.

Measuring device for the production of cuts for ladies' waistlines, jackets or the like.
When making cuts for women's waistlines, jackets or the like, it has been customary to measure the bust size and waist size and cut out the difference between the two dimensions at certain parts of the cut in order to adapt the waist or the like to the person concerned. Apart from the fact that several tests are required in this process in order to achieve a good fit of the garment, the same cut is made for women for whom the same bust size is measured, although each has a different back or chest formation.
This disadvantage is remedied by the measuring device forming the subject of the present invention, the essence of which is that a measuring bar is provided with measuring rods that are displaceable and lockable in the vertical and transverse directions, the latter when the bar is set vertically and placed against the chest arch brought to the height of the base of the neck or the end and pushed forward to this, the sum of the pushed-out pieces result in the measure that is to be taken from the front part of the waist cut.
The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example, namely: FIG. 1 shows a side view of the measuring device in the position of use, FIG. 2 shows a front view of the device and FIG. 3 shows a side view of the same in the position of use for women with a strong abdomen.
The measuring device consists of a graduated measuring bar 1, at the upper end of which a sleeve is immovably attached, while a second sleeve 3 is arranged on the measuring bar 1 and can be locked by the screw 4 on the same. Each of these sleeves receives a graduated measuring rod 5 or 6 which is displaceable in its longitudinal direction and which can be held in any position by screws 7 or 8. A pendulum 9 is suspended from the front surface of the measuring bar 1 at the upper end thereof, which by means of a mark 10 indicates the vertical position of the measuring bar and plays along a scale.
The procedure for taking measurements is as follows: The measuring bar is placed against the breast bulge in such a way that it assumes a vertical position (FIG. 1), which can be recognized at any time by the pendulum 9 and the associated mark 10, and the upper measuring rod 5 comes to rest on the base of the neck, while the lower measuring rod 6 is adjusted to the final height by means of the sleeve.
