Equipment for explosion-proof storage and delivery of flammable liquids.
The invention relates to a modification of the device for the explosion-proof storage and delivery of flammable liquids according to patent no the tap or point of use is pushed away.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the system according to the invention set up for pump and hydraulic fluid operation is shown schematically.
In the system shown, the flammable liquid f is located in a container 1 that is closed on all sides, into whose cover 2 the delivery line 9 for the flammable liquid opens, which leads, for example, to the nozzle 4. The line 3 and the nozzle 4 are provided with a casing 5 which is arranged at a distance from the line 3 and the walls of the nozzle 4. The container 1 is blocked off from the casing 5.
The neutral liquid used to push the flammable liquid f away. is accommodated in the container 6, which is open, for example, from which a suction line 7 leads to the liquid delivery pump 8, the pressure line 9 of which is passed through the cover 2 of the container 1. The suction line 7 of the pump 8 is connected by a branch line 10 to the interior of the casing 5 of the delivery line 3 at a suitable point.
By putting the liquid pump 8 into operation, the neutral liquid n is transferred through the pressure line 9 into the container 1 and, as a result, the flammable liquid f floating on the neutral liquid is pushed away through the line 3 to the nozzle 4 or to the other point of use. The branch line 10 connected to the casing 5 of the! Suction line 7 will be filled with liquid up to the level of the suction valve of pump 8.
If a break or a leak occurs at any point in the casing 5, air penetrates through this leakage point into the space between the casing 5 and the line 3 and passes into the connected branch line 10 and the suction line 7. As a result, the further activity of the liquid feed pump 8 is interrupted almost immediately, so that no more central liquid ta can be transferred from the container 6 through the line 9 into the container 1 and flammable liquid f can be pushed away. Accordingly, an escape of flammable liquid at the break point is prevented even in the event that the line 3 is also damaged at the break point of the casing 5.
Of course, the device described is not limited to the embodiment shown.
