or the measure converted. While the latter method was time consuming and gave rise to errors in the conversion, the former had the disadvantage that it required the use and existence of a special scale. If such rulers are made of wood or the like, then over time the scale will be pricked by the tips of the compasses, making the rule unusable, but if they are made of metal, the tips of the compasses will suffer and become blunt.

to work on all the different scales used in practice. The consequence of this was that the draftsman had to procure a number of such compasses.
According to the present invention, this inconvenience is now eliminated in the simplest manner in that the scale is detachably arranged and further devices are provided at different but specific distances from the pivot point of the compass, with the aid of which the scale can be fixed. The distance of the fastening devices from the circular pivot point is chosen in such a way that they correspond to certain standards and the same scale can be used over and over again, so that the draftsman only has to obtain a single target and only one single scale, but can still work in all conventional scales.
The Zirkol can be designed as both a dividing circle and a circle.
The subject of the present invention is explained in more detail in the drawing in exemplary embodiment.

FIG. 4 shows the floor plan of FIG. 2 in section.
The new circuit consists of the usual legs a of any design, which are rotatably connected to each other in animal manner by a bolt b.
One of the two legs a is provided with a scale c which passes through a slot d of the other leg a and z. B. fastened by means of a screw e which is screwed into a hole f.
The scale c is suitably arranged to be interchangeable in order to be able to use the compass for different scales. For this purpose can be in different
