    Entfernungsmesser.

    Range finder.

The following invention relates to prism double telescopes (binoculars) which are provided with known measuring devices for distance measuring purposes according to the principle of stereoscopic distance measuring devices. According to the invention a device is provided in order to keep the base constant despite setting to different eye distances. It consists essentially in the fact that the pivot point or the joint axis for adjusting the two eyepieces against each other coincides with one of the two objective axes, so that the distance between the two objective axes remains unchanged even when the eyepieces are adjusted.

In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of such a range finder is shown, namely in FIG. 1 in a view from the eyepiece side and in FIG. 2 in a plan view.

In the drawing, 1 and 2 denote the two instrument halves with the olulars 3 and the objects 4; 5 is the handle for adjusting a plane-parallel one
 EMI1.1
jf'dt'rseits are attached to one apparatus half 1 and are articulated to the other apparatus half 2 in such a way that the hinge axis coincides with the axis 8 of the lens 4.
