Man kann beispielsweise wie folgt vorgehen :
Vorerst werden die   Felder 1, 3,   5 in drei Farben, dann die Felder 2,4, 6   gedruckt, wobei 1, 3,. 5   trocknen. Bei der nächstfolgenden Einstellung und Druck kommt Form 1 auf das Feld   3,   Form 3 auf 5, und bei der fünften Einstellung und Druck kommt die Form 1 auf das bereits zweifarbig bedruckte Feld   5,   so dass auf diesem Felde das fertige dreifarbige Muster erscheint. Der zwischen den Druckflächen belassene Raum kann auch zwei Felder betragen, so dass dann die Felder 1, 4,7 gedruckt werden usw.
