Verfahren zur Verhütung der Ke88elanfre88ung und der Bildung von Kesselstein in
Dampferzeugern.
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Verhütung der Kesselanfressung und der Bildung von Kesselsteinansatz in Dampferzeugern und dgl. Gemäss der Erfindung lässt man Bariumhydrat auf eine wässrige Lösung von Tannin einwirken, und zwar zweckmässig auf eine solche Lösung, welche fähig ist, ein Glukosid zu bilden, wobei Bariumtannat entsteht. Dieses Bariumtannat verhütet die Kesselgnfressung und die Bildung von Kesselstein in Dampferzeugern.
Wenn Bariumtannat in Wasser, welches Kesselstein bildende Kalziumverbindungen enthält, eingeführt wird, so entstehen aus Kalziumkarbonat, Kalziumsulfat und Bariumtannat Kalzil1mtannat, Bariumsulfat und Bariumkarbonat. Die Kalzium-und Bariumverbindungen, die sich aus dieser Reaktion ergeben, sind nicht geeignet, Kesselstein zu bilden, da sie beim Absetzen auf den Boden nicht die Fähigkeit besitzen, an denselben anzuhaften.
Das Bariumtannat kann entweder in festem oder flüssigem Zustande verwendet und dem Speisewasser zugesetzt werden, ehe es in don Dampferzeuger gelangt, oder es kann statt dessen auch in die Vorräume in geeigneten Zwischenräumen, und zwar in solchen Mengen zugesetzt werden, die der Menge der im Wasser gelösten Kalziumverbindungen entsprechen. Der entstehende Schlamm kann ausgeblasen werden. Anstatt das Bariumtannat aus Bariumbydrat herzustellen, kann auch Bariumkarbonat oder irgend eine andere Barium verbindung oder ein Bariumsalz, welches durch das Tannin zersetzt wird und mit dessen Base (Barium) es sich verbinden kann, verwendet werden, ausgenommen Bariumchlorid.

The invention relates to a method for preventing boiler pitting and the formation of scale deposits in steam generators and the like. According to the invention, barium hydrate is allowed to act on an aqueous solution of tannin, expediently on such a solution which is capable of forming a glucoside, where barium tannate is formed. This barium tannate prevents boiler seizure and the formation of scale in steam generators.
When barium tannate is introduced into water containing scale-forming calcium compounds, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium tannate are formed into calcium mannate, barium sulfate, and barium carbonate. The calcium and barium compounds that result from this reaction are not capable of forming scale since they do not have the ability to adhere to the soil when it settles.
The barium tannate can either be used in a solid or liquid state and added to the feed water before it gets into the steam generator, or it can instead also be added to the vestibules in suitable interstices in such amounts as the amount in the water dissolved calcium compounds. The resulting sludge can be blown out. Instead of producing the barium tannate from barium hydrate, barium carbonate or any other barium compound or a barium salt, which is decomposed by the tannin and with whose base (barium) it can combine, can also be used, with the exception of barium chloride.
