The subject of the present invention is a further embodiment of the patent. No. 47448 protected cigarette stuffing machine. This refinement consists primarily in the inclusion of a gear ratio so that the movement of the main drive shaft from the crankshaft does not take place directly, but via this ratio.
This ensures that the machine runs smoothly and evenly.
The forward and backward movement of the tobacco feed slide according to the present invention

one end of a two-armed lever is guided, the other end of which is articulated to the tobacco feed slide.
The subject matter of the present invention further relates to the fact that the tamper is moved with the aid of a connecting rod which is in an articulated connection with the tamper, while the other end of the connecting rod is articulated to a crank disk, eccentric or the like placed on the main drive shaft . As a result, the inevitable back and forth movement of the tamper is achieved while avoiding any gear with toothed rack or a spring, and thereby the operational reliability of the machine is significantly increased.
In order to offer the possibility that cigarettes of different strengths can be produced with one machine, the part of the tobacco container receiving the press ram, including the stuffing tube and the tamper, can be removed and replaced by similar components of different dimensions. As a result, cigarettes of different strengths can be produced with one and the same machine.
The machine according to the present invention is also suitable for the continuous production of cigarettes, and this is made possible by the fact that the upper lid of a tobacco storage container is formed by a corrugated plate, which first compresses the tobacco, then feeds it to the knife which is used for a cigarette cuts the required amount of tobacco.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject invention are shown, namely FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4 illustrate a cigarette tamping machine in which the amount of tobacco required for a cigarette is given up in each case, while in the

As can be seen from FIGS. 1, 2 and 4, a grooved disk 2 sits on the main drive shaft 1, in which one end of a two-armed lever 3 is guided, the other end of which is articulated to an extension of the tobacco feed slide 4. On the main drive shaft there is also a crank disk 5, to which a connecting rod 6 is articulated, the other end of which is articulated to the tamper 7. The part 10 of the tobacco container which receives the press plunger 8, the stuffing tube SS and the tamper 7 is exchangeable in such a way that these components can be pulled out laterally at once. Non-circular disk 36, stops 37 and 38 for actuating the slide 16, takes place in the same way as with the subject matter of the additional patent no. 51544, the back movement of the S-shaped curved lever 15, which controls the to and fro movement of the tobacco feed slide 16

and an extension 22 of a rail 23 displaceable parallel to the tamper (FIG. 8).
With the help of the non-circular disk 24, the rail 23 is displaced in that the non-circular disk 24 engages in the projection 21. The tobacco is fed to the cutting knife by opening the top cover of the tobacco storage container. is formed by a corrugated plate 25. This corrugated plate has two lugs 26, 26 on each side, which are lifted by a lever 27. This lever 27 carries a lateral extension 28 which rests on a non-circular disk 29 and is thereby raised (Fig. 6,9, 10). After the non-circular disk 29 has passed, the extension 28 is released and the grooved cover plate 25 of the tobacco container moves downward, compressing the tobacco.
The grooved cover plate 25 is then moved forward by the lever 30 coming into engagement with the front projection 26 of the plate 25. The actuation of the lever 30 takes place in that this lever carries a pin 31 at its lower end, which pin 31 is guided between lateral lugs 32 of the tobacco feeding slide 16.
The compressed tobacco and moved forward is now cut off by the knife 3.3. The movement of this knife can be seen from FIGS. 11 and 12 of the drawing, and it can be seen that the upward movement of the knife occurs thereby. that the hook-shaped end of the lever 34 presses on the rear end of the knife. The downward movement of the knife and the actuation of the lever 34 takes place through the Tinnindsclieibe. The cut tobacco is brought into the stuffing tube in the manner indicated by the parent patent and the first additional patent , pressed together by the ram and then ejected by the pusher.
