but the steam supply increases this amount, so that the pressure in the pipe d1 increases, the pressure on the piston 7 tends to counteract the action of the spring 8 to pull the valve disk down, so that the direct steam flow from d to d1 is throttled or cut off, whereby the

Instead of letting all of the feed water required for the boiler flow into the heat accumulator, part of the water can be bypassed through the pipe 13 (FIG. 1), whereby the amount of water bypassed can be regulated by means of the three-way tap 14. Check valves 15 and 16 are advantageously switched on in pipes q and 13.
The water flow into the heat storage tank can also be regulated automatically in accordance with the exhaust steam supply. An arrangement of this type is shown in FIG. 3, in which the automatic valve k controls the valve 25 of the water supply pipe of the heat accumulator.
The automatic valve k according to FIGS. 2 and 3 directly regulates only the direct steam flow from the high pressure to the low pressure machine, and the Rolu f leading into the heat accumulator g is always in connection with the pipe d. The automatic valve can also be designed so that the steam flow in the two tubes d1 and f is regulated (FIG. 4), with a valve disk 26 allowing steam to enter the tube d1 and a valve disk 27 the entry into de 'n pipe / regulates.
A pressure reducing valve 28 (FIG. 5) can be placed in the tube h, which takes effect

has shut off and the steam, which then flows through the heat accumulator g and the pipe h to the low-pressure machine, endeavors to reach a pressure in the pipe d1 which is greater than a predetermined value for which the valve 28 is set. The valves k and 28 can also be combined to form a device located at the junction of the pipe h with the pipe d1.
The valve k can be operated by steam pressure or operated in any way directly or by means of an auxiliary device by a regulator of the high-pressure machine.
