Zweiwalzentrockner.

Two-drum dryer.
It is known to provide an agitator in the feed angle of two-drum dryers.
The subject of the present invention, however, is to arrange a press agitator in the material feed area between the two rollers, by means of which the dry material is pressed into the angle between the two rollers in the direction of rotation of the latter. This ensures that the material can be taken along and enables better application to the drying rollers and thus a higher drying performance of the device itself. In the drawing, the subject of the invention is illustrated in three phases of its movement.
As deep as possible in the angle between the two rollers, a shaft is arranged, which with a displacement body c extending over the entire length of the roller with both-
EMI1.1
swings. At the corresponding distance above, a second shaft with a similarly shaped but larger displacement body d, also with pressure vanes, swings back and forth from the position of FIG. 1 via the position of FIG. 2 to the position of FIG. 3 and back again. Both displacement bodies therefore always oscillate simultaneously in opposite directions of rotation.
The drive is expediently carried out on one of the two shafts by a lever mechanism 9 (in the drawing, the upper one is assumed for this), which is driven by one of the roller shafts or its drive transmission by a daamenox center, crank or similar device. The opposite direction of rotation on the second shaft is then by toothed segments e and ftranso, but the second shaft can also be driven by a special eccentric crank.
The device works as follows:
The wet material applied to the baffle roof for drying in the bulk hull b slides down from the latter on both sides onto the rollers a and between the
EMI1.2
Body c, pressed simultaneously on the other side by a pressure wing of body d, into the angle between the two rollers. When the direction of rotation of the two bodies c and d changes, the pressure vanes on the other side come into action and, in turn, press the material into the angle between the two rollers. In this case, the Dracknugei of the lower displacement body c push the wet material that has already been advanced by the upper pressure ball, so that the material is continuously conveyed into the corner of the two rollers.
