Description

Process for decorating wooden objects with plastic decorations.
The invention relates to a method for providing wooden objects on their surface with plastic decorations so that the whole thing gives the impression of wood carving, which in particular allows mass production which could not be achieved in such a short time with mere manual labor.
The procedure consists of the following individual operations:
1. The wooden surface to be decorated is first cleaned well with petrol and then completely dried and the image (ornament) is drawn with its outermost contour lines.
2. The glass enamel is then applied with a brush within the contour lines.
The glass enamel to be used, however, must be finely rubbed with turpentine oil and at the same time mixed in such an amount that the whole mass has a pasty (viscous) character. The application of the glass enamel in this way is called "flooding the picture" in this trade.
3. If the image is printed using a suitable printing process, e.g. B. by means of transfer printing, in that the image is printed from a steel plate on tissue paper and peeled off from the tissue paper on the object to be decorated.
4. The picture is finally painted and varnished with the desired colors.
