Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Compensated series collector motor for alternating current, in which the stator and rotor are connected in series with a series transformer.

   It is known to regulate the rotational speed of repulsion motors for alternating current by alternating series and parallel connection of stator windings.

   In the case of compensated collector motors for alternating current (compensated series-connected repulsion motors or: mixed-phase series-connected collector motors), in which the stator and rotor are connected in series by inserting a series transformer, a stator winding and a primary winding of the transformer are to be continuously connected in series but to switch the resulting circuits alternately in parallel and in series. A regulation of the speed is thereby achieved.

   With this type of control, the motor works at low speeds as if it had fewer series-connected turns than at high speeds, without changing the relationship between the number of turns of the stator and rotor. Since the voltage of the power source remains unchanged, the motor works with the specified shading at changing speeds under equally favorable conditions.

   The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the invention, FIG. 1 for simple alternating current, FIG. 2 for three-phase current.

   In the case of a simple alternating current (Fig. 1), for example, the stator may have two windings a a2 and also the transformer, which connects the stator and the rotor, two windings b1, b2. Two primary windings nu and a, - i! . These are connected in series at low speeds and in parallel at higher speeds by the switches according to the invention indicated in the drawing.
