Process for the production of a deaincessing and oxidizing halogen-containing
Preparation.
The present invention relates to a process for the production of a halogen-containing preparation which has excellent oxidizing properties and can be used particularly in therapy and for disinfection purposes.
It is already known to produce disinfecting or oxidizing preparations by the action of halogens on dissolved or solid alkalis or alkaline earths (production of chlorinated lime, Eau de Javelle, etc.).
It has now been found that if ozone is allowed to act simultaneously with halogens, preparations are created which contain both halogens and oxygen in a very unstable form and are therefore able to release these elements very easily. The process can be carried out both with dissolved and with dry alkalis or alkaline earths emulsified with fatty substances or mixed with solid substances. The latter two working methods are preferable when it comes to storing the preparations for a longer period of time.
Depending on whether a preparation containing water, fat or powder is to be produced, the working conditions must also be selected. For a more detailed explanation, the following examples are given:
EMI1.1
At a temperature of 150 C, chlorine and ozone are introduced simultaneously under normal pressure in such amounts that the liquid smells strongly of chlorine even after shaking it and thus contains free or dissolved halogen in addition to the chloride, hypochlorite and superoxide that are probably formed. Completely carbonic acid-free materials are used for the production and care is taken during the entire process that the carbonic acid in the air does not have access to the solution, otherwise the solution produced will decompose very quickly.
For this purpose, the used vessel is covered with a sieve provided with a rubber underlay, on which lime or chlorinated lime has been poured. Instead of water, other alkaline or alkaline earth solvents can also be used.
EMI1.2
or ceresin finely ground, the mixture is then mixed with 4 g of bromine and exposed to the action of ozone.
It goes without saying that the quantities given as examples can be changed in all of the embodiments mentioned.
The preparation produced by this process is characterized by powerful oxidizing effects. out.
