Regulations not recognized for compressors with variable flow rates.
Piston compressors, which are supposed to suck in a variable amount of gas with a constant number of revolutions, can expediently be regulated by changing the effective stroke. This is achieved either by only sucking in as much gas as is currently necessary, or by releasing part of the sucked gas when the piston retracts.
The subject of the invention now forms a regulating device of the type last described, which is to be used in valve compressors.
The device is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in two exemplary embodiments. By means of a crank mechanism a, the drive crank of which is parallel to the crank c or at an angle to it, the rod b is set in a reciprocating motion. A stop d that can be screwed higher or lower on this rod strikes the tube e when it descends. From now on, the tube e takes part in the downward movement and, through the intermediary of the spring f and the arm 9, prevents the already open suction valve v from closing. The valve can only close. when the arm 9 releases the valve v during the backward movement of the rod b, at which moment the compression in the cylinder begins.
By changing the position of the stop d, this moment at which the compression begins can be changed.
Instead of the stop tube e, a column of liquid can also be used, as shown in FIG. The crank drive a drives a rod b here, which presses on a plunger p with the aid of the stop d. During its downward movement in h after crossing the opening m, this will press the liquid column in the cylinder through the line e to the cylinder n, there push the plunger o downwards and under it
Mediation of the spring f and the arm ç prevent the suction valve v from closing. The suction valve can only be closed when the arm 9 is lifted up by the spring k during the upward movement of the piston p, whereupon the compression in the cylinder begins.
By changing the position of the stop d on the rod b, this moment can also be adjusted here as desired,
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Control device for compressors with variable delivery, in which an arm preventing the suction valve from closing releases the valve only during the compression stroke, characterized in that the rod (carried by a reciprocating movement and on one arm (g) for keeping the suction valve (t) open, the actuating pipe rod (e), the stop (d) acting on the rod is adjustable so that the time when the suction valve closes can be changed (FIG. 1).
