the voter brushes for the purpose of producing a connection coated contact tips of the field by means of insulating plates, which form the so-called contact tip combs with the contact tips, are arranged in groups on the frame of the voter.
The essence of the invention consists in the special design of the contact tip combs and their type of attachment to the frame of the selector and in the attachment of the contact tips in these combs. In the case of the contact fields of a similar type that have been in use up to now, the contact tip combs were formed and fastened in such a way that the contact tips, usually stamped from a piece of sheet metal, with insulating strips in between, were combined into a group and this group was then held together by special connecting means on the frame of the selector .
This type of contact fields has the disadvantage. that the assembly of the individual contact tip combs is very laborious and time consuming and that a contact field produced in this way is subject to frequent disturbances. since the individual contact tips easily become loose during use of the selector.
The present invention aims to eliminate these deposits. in which the contact tips are attached in the simplest manner and very permanently in the comb plates and the attachment of the comb plates to the frame of the selector is done in the most advantageous manner. According to the invention, each contact tip comb consists of a block of insulating compound. z. B. hard rubber. in which a number of suitable contact tips are arranged in a row one above the other. by pinging the contact tips into the insulating block or by pressing them around them.
Each such block is set up so that it can be fastened in the frame of the selector in such a way that its row of contact tips is perpendicular to the

in perspective view; Figures 7 and 8 represent modifications of Figure 1; contact tips and FIG. 9 shows a fastening piece by means of which the conical tip combs are fastened to the frame.
According to the invention, there is contact; fe! d from a frame which is composed of the semicircular upper and lower part 1 and 2 and the connecting pieces 3 and 4 that hold these parts together. Each of the parts 1 and 2 is provided at its edges with recesses J, which are expediently arranged so that two face each other. The contact tip combs are carried by the frame parts 1 and 2 and are specially fastened in the recesses 5. The frame parts 1 and 2 are expediently connected in the middle by a rod 6, which in a suitable manner, for. B. can be attached by screws 7 and is used to increase the durability of the frame. The contact tip combs are made of insulating material, e.g. B.
Hard rubber, existing blocks or pieces 8 formed in which the contact tips 9 are suitably held. According to the invention, the block 8 is provided at both ends with U-shaped metal pieces 10, by means of which the block 8 is attached to the frame pieces 1, 2 by inserting the free-standing legs 11 of the metal piece 10 into two opposing recesses 5 of the frame pieces intervention.
The metal pieces 10 are inserted into the block 8, which is made of castable or pressable insulating material, so that a special fastening, e.g. B. by means of screws is not required. With this arrangement, the contact tip combs are held securely in their required position perpendicular to the direction of movement of the selector brushes. Of course, the attachment of the tip combs can also be done in other ways, for. B. by screws that engage through the frame parts 1 and 2 in the block 8 or in special threaded sockets inserted therein.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 to 5 of the drawing, the blocks or combs 8 each have a row of contact tips 9 introduced into the block in the same way as the metal pieces 10. The inner ends of these contact tips, which are coated by the movable selector brushes, only protrude around a short distance beyond the longitudinal edge of the block, while the outer ends of the tips, to which the cable ends are attached, are considerably longer
Protruding from the block. The purpose of this is, on the one hand, to allow the brushes to slide past better while, on the other hand, the cable ends can be attached or soldered more easily.
The contact tips 9 can be designed in different ways, whereby it is of course important that the cable ends can be attached in a simple manner and that a sufficient contact surface is achieved for the movable selector brushes. For example, these contact tips can be designed as shown in FIGS. 6 to 8. where that
End 12 can be cut out for attaching the cable ends, while an advantageous line area for the brushes is formed by the rounding 13 of the other end of the contact tip.
In order to achieve sufficient fastening of the contact tips, which are heavily stressed during the attachment of the cable ends and when using the selector, in the block 8, according to the invention the contact tips, which are expediently made of square bars, are provided at the point where they are surrounded by the material of the block Depressions 14 or, in place of these, are provided with holes in which the block compound engages during pouring or pressing and thus secures the contact tip against loosening.
As can be seen from FIG. 7, a good fastening of the contact tips in the block 8 can also be brought about by an axial rotation of the square rod by 900. In addition, as shown in FIG. 8, the square bar can be provided with recesses 15 that are expediently offset from one another in order to achieve the necessary attachment of the contact tips in the plate 8. Of course, this fastening can also be carried out in various other ways, For example, this would be possible by roughening or crimping the contact tip rod. The contact tips 9 of a block 8

of the block comes to lie perpendicular to the direction of movement of the voter brushes.
A contact field according to the present invention is assembled in such a way that one end of the contact tip combs is first placed on the lower segment piece 2 in such a way that the legs 11 of the fastening pieces 10 engage in the recesses j. If the required number of combs is now arranged in a fan-like manner next to one another, then the upper segment 1 with the recesses 5, encompassing the legs 7 of the metal pieces 10 arranged on top of the plates 8, is placed on the combs and using the screws 7 fastened sufficiently.
From what has been said, it can be seen that the assembly of the contact field is very easy and convenient with an extremely secure and permanent attachment of the individual parts. Furthermore, the value of the invention is based on the group-wise arrangement of the Kontaktspitzcn, which, due to their good and permanent attachment in connection with the comb plates 8, allow the voter to work safely and easily. Another advantage over known devices is the m
