Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Rohrschweißverfahren wobei zwei ein Rohrende aufweisende Bauteile (1, 2), beispielsweise Rohrstummel (1, 2) oder Rohrflansche mit einander zugewandten oder stumpf aneinander liegenden Rohrenden aufgespannt werden und an ihren einander zugewandten oder stumpf aneinander liegenden Rohrenden mit einer umlaufenden Schweißnaht verschweißt werden. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass an einer für den Beginn der Schweißnaht vorgesehenen Position der beiden aufgespannten Rohrenden vorab jeweils eine vom Außenumfang radial nach innen verlaufende Ausnehmung in die Stirnfläche beider Rohrenden eingebracht wird, indem dort eine in Radialrichtung verlaufende Bohrung, insbesondere Durchgangsbohrung erzeugt wird, welche die beiden miteinander fluchtenden Ausnehmungen in den Stirnflächen der beiden Rohrenden bildet, und dann im Bereich der beiden einander zugewandt positionierten Ausnehmungen mit dem Schweißen begonnen wird.
