 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

In the parent patent no. 51511 a control device for power generators has been described, in which a constant voltage is regulated by using a back EMF of an auxiliary motor. This is compounded, and the magnetic field of the additional motor as well as the opposing torque are acted on at the same time. The effect on the torque is done by a brake on the auxiliary motor. The subject of the present invention, however, is to use an electromagnetically operated oil brake as the brake.

The drawing shows a system and, since the invention is described in the parent patent, unless the oil pump is concerned, the reference letters are only briefly explained.

The field magnet 2 belongs to the armature 1, the voltage of which is regulated as follows, and the field magnet windings 4, 4 'to the armature 3 of the auxiliary motor. The oil pump 5 is driven by the motor 3 and is regulated by a valve 6 which is controlled by the core 9 of an electromagnet with the two windings 8, 8 ′, a spring 7 counteracting the electromagnetic forces. The particular advantage of the hydraulic brake is that it avoids the inconvenience that occurs with mechanical brakes. If these are moved by electromagnets, then quantities result for the displacement of the magnetic core which lead to practically impracticable conditions.

When using the hydraulic brake, on the other hand, the relieved valve allows large changes in the excitation current to be brought about with the greatest ease by means of small changes in the voltage.
