The drawing shows three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
1 illustrates in section the clamping device forming the subject of the invention on a hat-fitting machine with an axially adjustable molded body, with the clamping device released. FIG. 2 illustrates the same device with the clamping device closed, also in section, and FIG. 3 is a partial top view of FIG.
FIG. 4 illustrates, in half-sectional views for molding machines with a fixed shaped body, the use of special moving stops for pressing the grippers against the shaped body.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, the molded body a is arranged axially displaceably in the molding vessel b so that it can be raised from the position in FIG. 1 into the position according to FIG. Grippers c are rotatably arranged on the molding vessel b, and with the carrier of the
EMI2.1
of the shaped body a from the position according to FIG. 1 to the position according to FIG. 2, the stops f hit the gripper c with their appropriately inclined end surfaces and move the grippers into the position shown in FIG. 2, in which they move the rim edge 9 of the hat stump h applied to the molding firmly in the groove i of the molding. The grippers c are arranged on both sides of the shaped body, and, in fact, expediently opposite one another at the point at which the shaped body is narrowest.
In the longitudinal direction of the shaped body, the hat stump usually does not extend beyond the edge of the shaped body before it is attached to the shaped body. After the hat stump is held securely on the sides of the molded body by the gripper c in the manner described, the stump edge can easily be stretched out by hand at the two points k and the stump edge pulled over the molded body completely and by a cord be fastened in the groove i of the molding. After this has been done, further processing takes place in a known manner. The grippers are equipped with a suitable device, not shown, for retraction when released by the stops. t provided.
In the embodiment according to the right-hand half-sectional view of FIG. 4, the molded body a is stationary. The grippers c are also rotatably arranged on a stationary part and are lifted off or pressed against the molded body a by a rotatable ring d known per se with a cam slot n.
In the exemplary embodiment of the left-hand half-section representation in Fig. 4, the arrangement of the molded body a and of the gripper c is the same as just described, but the pressing of the gripper against the molded body takes place here by a ring 1, which leads on columns w and over from above the gripper is pushed.
Instead of rotatable grippers, slides or other clamps can of course also be used.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Machine for forming hats, in which a molded body equipped with a groove for constricting the k empenteils of the hat stump is arranged, characterized in that the brim part (g) of the hat stump (h) by rigid clamping elements (gripper, slide or similar) is only clamped on the long sides in the groove (i) of the molding (a) so that the brim part (g) can be stretched front and back by hand, pulled completely over the molding (a) and tied off.
