Bottle with a stopper against refilling.
The present invention relates to a bottle with a safety stopper against refilling, which stopper has a channel with balls enclosed therein and consists in that the channel is helically wound and a peculiarly constructed tube is built into it, by means of which device the reliability of the stopper is substantially increased.
The subject of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing and FIG. 1 shows an axial section of the bottle with a partial view of the stopper, FIG. 2 a plan view, FIG. 3 a piece of the channel in longitudinal section on an enlarged scale, FIG. 4 section xx from FIG 3.
The safety plug essentially consists of a cylindrical body a, advantageously made of glass, which fits exactly into the neck opening of the bottle and rests on a shoulder b of the bottle neck. A helically wound tube c is installed in the plug, which has constrictions at certain intervals and, above these, widenings of its cross section. The constrictions d are designed as seats for the ballsf, above which seats the tube widens at 1 (detail Fig. 3), further bulges out at 2 and is tapered at 3. this taper adjoins the lower edge of the seat of the higher ball.
In the bulge 2, which has a cross-section drawn in Fig. 4, a perforated insert e is provided, which is dimensioned such that it has the same diameter as the ball in the middle of its length, so that the ball when tipping over Bottle can get out of its seat in the position f '(Fig. 3), wherein the liquid can flow through the insert e at points 4, 5 and through the bulge 2 in the direction of arrow 1 around the ball.
In addition, a groove g is arranged on the plug not far from the upper edge, which groove coincides with a groove h in the bottle neck, so that when the plug is inserted
EMI1.1
The mode of action is easy to see; When the bottle is tipped over with the neck down, the balls move from their seats d at most to the position ``, whereby the liquid can flow from one seat through the perforated insert e to the other seat, while refilling the bottle is not possible because When the bottle is turned over, the balls fall back into his seat and close the Rohnju section.
From the above one can see that the balls work very reliably, I can easily detach some of them from the seat when the bottle is tipped over and leave a completely free space for the liquid to flow around and when the bottle is tilted upwards, their seats fall back slightly . Refilling is impossible not only when the bottle is held upwards, but also in all other positions, because as a result of the helically wound tube at least one of the balls remains in its seat each time and prevents the liquid from flowing into the bottle.
