Da die Hebel (5) nun nicht mehr fixiert sind, ist die Plattform 1/6 • ·* ··· ··· • · · · · · • · • · · · · · (1) frei beweglich, wobei jeweils eine Zugfeder (9) immer einen Kontakt zwischen Plattform (1) und Hebel (5) gewährleistet. Die Plattform (1) ist solange frei beweglich, wie die Betätigung der Seilzüge (8) aufrecht erhalten wird. Soll die Plattform (1) fixiert werden, indem die Auslenkungen an den Seilzügen wieder zurückgenommen werden, werden die Hebel (5) in ihrer aktuellen Position fixiert, da Zugfedern (10) die Fixierhebel (6) wiederum an die Lochplatten (7) drücken und diese dort einrasten können. Die Plattform (1) ist zwar noch immer beweglich, jedoch ist ihre Bewegungsfreiheit stark eingegrenzt. Die Neigung der Plattform (1) kann sich nicht mehr vergrößern sondern nur mehr verringern. Verringert sich nun die Neigung der Plattform (1), so werden die Hebel (5) von den Zugfedern (9) weiter aufgerichtet. Die Fixierhebel (6) können aufgrund der Form der Lochplatten (7) nun in den jeweils höheren Positionen einrasten.
