Tap for vats and so on. Vessels of the fermentation industry.

The invention relates to a tap track for vats and other vessels of the fermentation trade, which has a number of very significant advantages over the known taps of this type. First and foremost, the tap is characterized by its low weight and short design and also enables, in a structurally simple manner, a shock-free lifting and lowering of the actual closure body in order to adjust its height.

For this purpose, according to the invention, the closure body is lifted or respectively by a pinion. lowered.
 EMI1.1
and to which, due to the short design, the shut-off valve e can be connected by means of the wing nut d.

The closure body is now lifted by a toothed gear, which in the present case consists of a toothed rack f and the one in engagement with it. small spur gear g consists. The toothed rack f is guided in the wall of the shut-off valve c and its upper end rests against the lower edge of the plunger bung.

If the small spur gear, which is also stored in the housing of the shut-off valve e, is set in rotation by means of a handwheel or the like, the toothed rack f lifts the valve body a, al and the liquid can, provided the shut-off valve e is open , flow out.

The lifting of the valve takes place completely without jerks, so that the yeast layer is prevented from stirring up (e.g. in the case of beer wort, as indicated by dotted lines in FIG. 2) and thus the liquid is prevented from becoming cloudy due to yeast. Furthermore, the pinion is the

 Importance is.

When the gear is turned back (les g, the rack f is pushed back into the housing e and the locking body sinks to its seat due to its own weight.

With the tap e, which can be arranged beer on the connecting sleeve b as a result of the short design of the lifting device, the outflow of the beer can be blocked if, for some reason, for. B. by a foreign body getting under the valve sealing of the closure body should not take place.
