Aus Metall oder anderen Stoffen hergestellte, die Portio überdeckende Kappen, weiche zu gewissen therapeutischen Zwecken verwendet werden, nm die Portio zu schützen, von den benachbarten Organen zu isoliren und eventuell medikamentöse Stoffe festzuhalten, sind bekannt. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet die Neuerung, dass die Kappe aus zwei in geeigneter Weise vereinten Teilen besteht, welche von zwei in der Leiterreihe möglichst weit voneinander abstehenden Metallen gebildet werden, wodurch der Effekt erzielt wird, dass diese beiden Metalle im Vereine mit den sie umgebenden Sekreten ein Element bilden, dessen Strom bei gewissen krankhaften Erscheinungen therapeutische und insbesondere keimtötend Wirkungen ausübt.
Überdies werden durch die Wirkung des elektrischen Stromes lösliche Metallsalze gebildet, welche vollkommen unabhängig desinfizierende Wirkungen ausüben.
In der Zeichnung ist eine im Sinne der Erfindung beispielsweise aus Zink und Silber hergestellte Kappe teils im Schnitt und teils in Ansicht gezeigt.
Die eine Hälfte a dieser Kappe ist aus Silber, die zweite Hälfte b aus Zink hergestellt und die beiden Hälften sind längs der punktierten Linie a :, x durch Lötung verbunden ; die Ränder der Kappe sind ein wenig verstärkt und abgerundet. Diese Ausführungs- form bietet insbesondere den Vorteil, dass die entstehenden Zinksalze für therapeutische Zwecke ganz besonders geeignet sind.
Es ist selbstredend, dass diese Kappen auch dann mit Erfolg verwendet werden können, wenn es sich darum handelt, die Konzeption mit Rüchsicht auf strikte ärztliche Indikationsstellung zu verhindern, weil sowohl der elektrische Strom, als auch die Metallsalze auf Spermatozöen zerstörend einwirken.
An Stelle von Zink und Silber können andere Metalle der Leiterreihe, z. B. Alumium und Gold, verwendet werden ; die Vereinigung der Kappenteil kann durch Lötung, Schweissung oder auf sonstige geeignete Art erfolgen. Es ist selbstredend, dass die Kappe entweder ausschliesslich aus den Metallen oder in der Weise hergestellt werden kann, dass letztere lediglich den ein-oder zweiseitigen Belag einer aus einem geeigneten Material erzeugten Kappe bilden. In diesem Falle kann der metallische Belag auch auf galvano- plastischem Wege erzeugt werden.
