Verfahren zur Herstellung von Treiborganen (Riemen, Seilen, Gurten o. dgl.).
Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Treiborganen aus offener, unverwebter und unverseilter Faser.
Eine vorwiegend in der Richtung der Bearbeitung liegende Faser kann höher beansprucht werden, da diese nur auf Zug angestrengt wird, dagegen tritt bei einer verseilten Faser auch eine Beanspruchung auf Torsion, bei einer verwebten auch eine solche auf Biegung und Torsion auf.
Besonders leidet die Faser bei der Verarbeitung, wenn es sich um sehr dichtes Gewebe oder ein sehr stramm geschlagenes Seil handelt. Durch eine Verarbeitung der Faser wird das Produkt auch erheblich verteuert.
Bei dem Verfahren gemäss der Erfindung werden die angeführten Cbelstände fast vollkommen vermieden.
Die Faser aus Ramie, Hanf, Baumwolle, Kameelhaar u. dgl. wird nach der Reinigung mit einem geeigneten Bindemittel, z. n. Gummilösung imprägniert und dann durch Pressung in die verlangte Form gebracht. Nach Trocknen des Bindemittels ist das Treiborgan zum Gebrauch fertig.
