  Fersenloser Strumpf.

  Heelless stocking.

The subject of the present invention is a heelless stocking which, as can be seen from FIG. 1 of the drawing, consists of a tube knitted cylindrically in wide meshes, at one end of which a point is formed by sewing the meshes. Such a stocking has a significantly longer duration than the stockings of the usual shape, in that when the stocking is put on, a different part comes to rest on the sole of the foot and the heel - where it is most worn - each time. Furthermore, the stocking can be stretched in any direction, and as a result, hugs the shape of the foot perfectly and easily and can therefore not only be worn by the person for whom it was initially. is made, but after wear and tear z.

   B. cut off the lower part and after it has been closed again (sewn or knitted), gradually worn as socks, for example first by the woman, then by the children and finally by the man. In Fig. 2 of the drawing, a stocking shortened to the length of the sock is shown in the pulled-on state. The production of the stocking is very simple due to its tubular shape and can be done entirely by machine.
