The invention aims to be used on walls, ceilings, doors, furniture and. Like. To give individual surfaces a silk-like appearance in any color.

According to the invention, the surfaces in question are first thoroughly cleaned and then coated or printed with an oil paint. After rubbing it off again, you make a second coat of oil paint. As soon as this is dry, a good lacquer is mixed with zinc white and applied to the surface in the desired color. After two days, the paint is moistened with water and rubbed with powdered pumice stone using a soft felt cloth until the surface has a uniform matt sheen. Using a suitable brush, the bristles of which are about. 2 OH are long, the sanded surfaces are then always brushed in the same direction.

For this work, the brush is moistened a little beforehand and rubbed with a little curd soap or good saponin. This process gives the surface in question a silky appearance. If one wants to make any pattern appear on the surface, one puts cartridges over it and brushes these cartridges in another direction. It is also possible to use several cartridges one after the other and brush over each cartridge in a different sense, as a result of which numerous shades of color are brought out, especially with electrical lighting.
