  Verfahren zur Herstellung der Aushöhlung von Fassdauben. 



   Bekanntlich werden Fassdauben in der Weise hergestellt, dass der Stamm kreuzweise in vier Teile geteilt wird, worauf die Spältlinge a (Fig. 1) nach den Strahlen des Holzes geschnitten werden. Diese keilförmigen Stücke werden sodann auf rechteckigen Querschnitt gebracht, worauf sie in der Längsrichtung ausgehöhlt worden, so dass sie in dieser Richtung die aus Fig. 4 ersichtliche Form erhalten, in welcher sie in den Handel kommen. 



  Sie werden dann von dem Küper für die Fassherstellung fertig bearbeitet.
