Metal casting apparatus for dental purposes.
The present invention relates to a metal casting apparatus for dental purposes. The metal casting devices are a kind of presses by means of which the liquid metal is pressed into the shape of the prosthesis. These forms are made from a mixture of plaster of paris and kaolin clay or asbestos and drifting sand that is poured around the model of the prosthesis made from wax. The wax is then burned out by heating the mold, whereupon the metal is melted in a trough above the mold and pressed into it by means of a punch. Until now
EMI1.1
is pressed because the pressure is uneven and one-sided and cannot be regulated.
The purpose of the present invention is to create a metal casting apparatus which does not have the disadvantages mentioned above, in that the pressure of the punch on the counter-mold can be regulated.
EMI1.2
shown in side view, while Fig. 2 illustrates a vertical section through the punch and the mold.
EMI1.3
Embodiment of the apparatus on a ring b, under which a Bunsen burner c is set up, which is used to heat the casting mold a.
This is expedient to be surrounded by an insulating jacket b to protect against thermal radiation. After the mold has been heated, the metal, which has been melted in the trough d by means of a suitable jet flame, is pressed into the mold by a punch 1f attached to the lever e.
EMI1.4
is pressed down. According to the present invention, the stroke of the sleeve can be changed by a nut i. The purpose of this change in the stroke is to precisely regulate the stamp pressure on the mold. The cavity k formed by the sleeve 9 and the punch f is filled with asbestos wool, while the lower surface of the sleeve 9 is provided with an asbestos disc l.
When you press the ram down, the known
