Working method for power machines that are operated with highly superheated steam ..

The subject matter of the invention relates to a method for pressing back part of the exhaust steam from the steam engines working with superheated steam into the boiler or superheater in order to make the Carnot process more complete.

The drawing illustrates the method on a two-stage steam engine with twin high-pressure cylinders 3, working on cranks a and b, twin compressors 5 and a low-pressure cylinder 4 acting on the third crank c.

The wet steam generated in the boiler 1 flows through the valve 18 into the superheater 2 and from there, strongly overheated, through the valve 16 and the inlet valves 6 into the high-pressure cylinder 3. Here, the superheated steam loses most of its expansion after the first approximately 40 to its own expansion Overheating, part of the steam emerging from the valves 7 is directed into the receiver 8, the other part through valve 10 into the receiver 11. The steam is more or less strongly overheated when it emerges from the valves 7, depending on the original overheating. the degree of expansion and cooling by wall radiation.

From the absorber 8, the steam reaches the next lower expansion stages (here the low-pressure cylinder 4) and then passes through the line indicated by dotted lines through the blowpipe of the boiler or into the condenser. The amount of steam can be regulated by the number and size of the low-pressure cylinders and their control. Before entering these deeper expansion points, the steam can be reheated. The other part of the steam is converted into wet steam in the transducer 11 by means of surface cooling, adding water or the like. The added water also serves to replace the amount lost with the first part of the steam as a result of the escape into the open air.

The wet steam is then sucked in through suitable press-back devices (here compressors 5 with pressure valves 13, pressure line 14 with check valves 15) and pushed back into the boiler or through a branch line into the superheater. The purpose of this back pressure is to increase the thermal efficiency of the engine by the
