Elektrischer Ofen.

Electric oven.
The present invention relates to an electric furnace for making SchwerschmelzbaM metal connections, e.g. B. aluminum oxide, metal carbides and. Like. To continuously melt easily, possibly also to separate the metals from foreign substances at the same time.
The container for the ground charge is with the positive pole of an elec. Tricity source of high voltage alternating currents connected, the return line is connected to the conductive floor of the reaction chamber. Before the free-falling charge comes into contact with the furnace bottom, the particles of which are charged with high-tension currents and are themselves carriers of electricity, because the greatest resistance takes place just before the contact and each particle of the ground charge causes a short circuit, whereby the whole supplied electrical energy is used.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing: 1 denotes the reaction space, which must be made of refractory material, 2 the container for the ground charge, which is rocked by means of a suitable device in order to free-fall the charge through the funnel 3 into the reaction space bring. The container 2 is provided with an electrically conductive bottom; 4 denotes the furnace base made of electrode carbon; 5a and 5b are the power supplies from an electricity. source, e.g. B. a dynamo machine. 6 denotes the discharge pipe for the reaction gas and 7 is the discharge pipe for the molten product.
