Process for the production of photographic chromate glue images on metal, porcelain,
Glass and other bodies impermeable to water.

The method forming the subject of the invention is essentially based on the known phenomenon that the areas hit by the light become insoluble in water when a chromate glue layer is exposed to light. If the chromate glue layer contains any dye in a sufficiently finely divided form, it will be retained, e.g. H. the gum print proves. The latter process is only suitable for copies on paper, especially for large formats, since the application of the light-sensitive 1'arb-

because it is not possible to apply the layer thinly and evenly with the hand and the brush so that even the finest details of the negative come out satisfactorily.

Smooth surfaces of bodies impermeable to water. such as metal, porcelain, glass, celluloid and the like a. cannot be coated this way at all.

According to the present method one is able to prepare any surface, whether smooth or rough, with the above solution and to be able to reproduce any desired image in this way.

In order to achieve this goal, one uses a (bromate glue solution, which is rubbed in the most intimate way with a body or enamel paint, warms up the object to be decorated well and applies the chromate glue mass finely and evenly using a paint atomizer under moderate air pressure The maintenance of the correct temperature, ie one at which the dye dries immediately and any formation of droplets is avoided.

If the object in question is coated in the manner indicated, it is exposed to light under a negative and then developed with water.
 EMI1.2
gentle spraying is done with the atomizer filled with water.

This method is suitable for mass production and for producing enamel color images on the appropriate materials because of its simplicity and safety.
