 Dachpappe, bei welchem   behufs Erzietung eines   dauerhaften Produktes die mit Teer,   Petroleumruckständen   und dergl. imprägnierte Rohpappe mit einem metallischen Überzug. insbesondere aus Aluminium oder Legierungen des   Aluminiums   versehen wird. 



    Die Handel vorkommende Dachpappe, welche sich als Bedachungsmaterial stetig   steigender   Beliebtheit   erfreut, wird durch Tränken bezw. Imprägnieren von   Rohpappe mit   Teer, Petroleumrückständen und dergl.   und     nachheriges Hestreuen   mit Sand und ähnlichen   Materiaiien erzeugt.   diese Dachpappe hat unter anderem den grossen Nachteil, dass infolge der atmosphärischen Einflüsse eine Zerstörung, resp. Verwitterung der in ihr enthaltenen organischen Stoffe

 Vornahme von Konservierungsanstrichen innerhabl einer unbegrenzten Zeit   unnötig   ist, wird beispielsweise durch die Aufbringung eines Überzuges von Aluminium auf die Dach-   pappe gelöst.   



   Dieses Metall ist bekanntlich überaus luftbeständig, da es sich sehr schnell mit einer unsichtbar dünnen   und   festhaftenden Haut von Aluminium-Oxyd überzieht, welche das darunter liegende Metall wie ein Firnis schützt. Auch die im Rauch enthaltenden Schwefelverbindungen (wie   Schwefeldioxyd),   die   hauptsächlichsten Schädlinge   der Dachpappe, üben nicht den geringsten   Einfluss   auf Aluminium ans. 



   Eine bevorzugte Ausführugnsform des Verfahrens besteht darin, dass man zunächst rohr Pappe in bekannter Weise imprägniert. hierauf Aulminium in Form eines feinen Pulvers auf die Oberfläche   aufträgt   und es schliesslich mit Hilfe von Walzen fest in die   Pappe eindrückt, wodurch   ein kompakter metallischer Überzug erzielt wird.
