<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
bestehende Verbindungsmittel aufweisen.
Ziegel bewegen. Abweichungen hiervon sind aber natürlich möglich.

The invention relates to a block of wood, in particular with dimensions of conventional building blocks or bricks, for erecting walls, which has sides in the form of a tongue and groove system
It is known to build structures or houses made of wood, for. B. to produce by prefabricated walls or wall parts are assembled. However, these systems lack a high degree of flexibility, since the walls or wall parts are prepared or adapted and tailored with regard to their structure or size for a mostly very specific purpose.
From DE 28 01 601 A1, DE 32 10 915 A1 and DE 32 14 724 A1, components or building blocks made of solid wood are known which have a tongue and groove-like profiling on their sides, by means of which they are joined together and with one another for erecting walls can be connected.
The invention has for its object to provide a wooden element that allows the most flexible use in the erection of walls.
This object is achieved with a block of wood with the features of claim 1
The wooden block according to the invention, which can have the size of conventional building blocks or bricks with regard to its dimensions, enables the construction of wooden walls in the manner of brick walls, but with the proviso that the individual wooden blocks are connected to one another via a tongue and groove system. The individual wooden blocks can also be connected to each other in the area of this tongue and groove connection, e.g. B. glued or glued, so that a very stable wooden wall can be erected very flexibly.
Although the wooden block according to the invention can also be made with three wooden panels, it is preferred in the context of the invention that it has at least four or five wooden panels, of which at least two wooden panels are offset from the other wooden panels, since stronger wooden blocks are also possible with thinner wooden panels can be produced, and these wooden blocks can be very firmly connected to adjacent wooden blocks via the multi-toothed tongue and groove connection.
Since wood transversely to the fiber direction is subject to a greater shrinkage when drying than in the fiber direction, it is preferred in the invention if the fiber direction of the offset wooden panel is at an angle to the fiber direction of the non-offset wooden panels and very particularly that the angle is approximately 900
In this way, with each block of wood fibers with their longitudinal direction z. B. aligned both in the vertical and in the horizontal direction, so that a shrinkage of the wooden block according to the invention in each of the specified directions is possible only to an extremely small extent.
Further preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the remaining subclaims.
Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of an embodiment of the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings. 1 shows an embodiment of a wooden block according to the invention in an oblique crack; and FIG. 2 shows an end view of the wooden block from FIG. 1.
In the Flg. 1 and 2, an embodiment of a wooden block according to the invention is shown, which in the example shown is composed of five wooden boards 1 and 2. More or less than five plates 1, 2 are also possible. The wooden panels 1 are aligned one above the other in the Y direction, whereas the wooden panels 2 are offset from the wooden panels 1 in both the X and Z directions, so that a tongue and groove system 4 is formed on all four edges of the wooden block, via which the shown block of wood can be connected to other identical blocks of wood.
The individual wooden panels 1, 2 can be connected to one another in any way. Accordingly, they can either be glued or glued to one another and / or connected to one another via dowels, nails or screws 3. However, a connection is preferably made exclusively by screws 3 made of wood or wooden dowels, the wooden dowels preferably being designed with slots at the ends of the dowels into which wedges or nails made of wood are driven.
By connecting the individual wooden panels 1, 2 exclusively by means of screws 3 made of wood or wooden dowels, with the aid of the wooden block according to the invention, walls can be built which consist exclusively of wood, ie neither nail, adhesives, glue, nor others not made of wood
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
have existing connecting means.
The screws 3 and dowels can be inserted, for example, at the locations shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. It is also possible, if no glue or glue is to be used, to use 4 nails or screws 5 in the area of the tongue and groove connections in order to prevent loosening of the tongue and groove connections 4.
Deviating from the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, it is also possible to construct a wooden block from only three panels 1 and 2, which if necessary have a greater thickness than the wooden panels 1, 2 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. The wooden panels 1, 2 also do not have to be offset in the X and Z directions, but it is also possible, if necessary, to use wooden blocks which have only wooden panels 2 offset in the X or Z direction.
Since wood has the property of shrinking transversely to the grain when drying or expanding in this direction when moisture is added, it is preferred in the wood block according to the invention if the fibers in the wood panels 1, for example in the X direction, and in the wood panels 2 in Z- Direction are aligned, whereby the moisture-induced deformability of the wooden block in both the Z and X directions is very well limited by the plates with the fibers aligned in this direction.
The dimension of the wooden block can be adapted to the respective needs in the X, Y and Z directions and will generally move in the dimension of commercially available mineral building blocks or bricks. Deviations from this are of course possible.
