Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

The invention relates to a connection fitting with a cast water guide body which, for connection to a domestic water network, carries a union nut which can be rotated freely on an inlet pipe socket with a collar, in particular for the hydraulic connection of water-carrying household machines, such as washing machines and dishwashers, to a tap of a house water - network.
Such a connection fitting is known from DE 43 04 712 A1. In this connection fitting, the inflow pipe socket of the water guiding body is designed for a direct connection to the tap of a domestic water network. This results in difficulties in attaching the union nut to the inlet pipe socket. This must therefore have a split, separately insertable locking ring so that the union nut holds on the inlet pipe socket and can still be freely rotated on it. Since this retaining ring engages behind an undercut on the inflow pipe socket, it must be designed in several parts and connected to the inflow pipe socket after the union nut has been attached.
This requires a lot of work. Because of the high forces to be absorbed by the union nut, the connection of the holding elements has to be made stable enough, which again causes high costs.
The invention has for its object to develop a connection fitting of the type described above so that it can be manufactured much cheaper
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the inlet pipe socket is a separate part connected to the water guide body
By using a separate inflow pipe socket that can be connected to the water guide body, it is possible to couple the inflow pipe socket and the union nut before connecting to the water guide body, without the need for separate holding parts.
The connection of the inflow pipe socket to the water guide body can be done in different ways, for example: B by overmolding, welding, pressing or also by screwing.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.
A safety hose can be used in a known manner to supply fresh water to a washing machine or dishwasher and a water tap of a domestic water network, also not shown. Such a safety hose consists of a pressure hose 1 and an enveloping hose 2 surrounding it at a radial distance. The safety hose is by means of a connection fitting connectable with the tap. For this purpose, the pressure hose 1 is connected to the drain pipe socket 3 of a water guide body 5 in the connection fitting, which can be closed by a solenoid valve 4 against the inflow of fresh water.
The inflow pipe socket 7 is connected to the water guide body 5 via a connection 6. At its free end to be connected to the water tap, the inflow pipe socket 7 carries a union nut 8. Before the inflow pipe socket 7 is connected to the water guiding body 5, the inflow pipe socket 7 with its end to be connected is pushed through the union nut 8 until the collar 10 of the inlet pipe socket 7 comes into contact with the flange 11 of the union nut from the inside. This provides a high-strength connection between the union nut 8 and the inlet pipe socket 7
After the union nut 8 has been pulled over, the inflow pipe socket 7 is connected in a suitable manner in the region of the connection 6 to the water guide body 5. For this purpose, the inlet pipe socket 7 can be welded or pressed to the water guide body 5.
The inflow pipe socket 7 can also be connected by injection molding with the material of the water guide body 5 or with additional material or by screwing it to the water guide body 5.
Due to the measure according to the invention, the assembly of a multi-part locking ring is not necessary. The union nut 8 is irrevocably captive.
