Method for closing containers with a purely cylindrical wall at the closing point.
To close bottles and similar containers with a bead at the closure point. it is proposed to use a capsule made of soft, thin l \ 1etallblech zn, the lower part, which is wrapped around the bead, against the bottle neck z. B. is pressed by rollers. This method cannot be used for containers with flat cylindrical walls, such as those in the form of glass tubes or small tubes for holding pharmaceutical preparations. Rather, these are closed either by a cork or by a screwed-on or plugged-on fixed metal lid (see, for example, the bottles and tubes for formamint and the like).
These are

difficult to open or prone to accidental opening; it is also unsanitary because of the pores of the cork. The solid sheet metal covers are expensive and

The method for closing glass tubes with the new closure is done in such a way that the tube BEZW. the tube with the help of a special machine

In order to prevent the tube contents from leaking out during the encapsulation,

The tube is opened by cutting off the upper edge of the capsules. In order to prevent the contents from falling out of the opened tube during use, a cork or a punched cardboard capsule is attached to the tube
