<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a device for closing an opening, in particular a building opening, with at least two plates which can be rotated in the corner region about an axis normal to the plate plane and a coupling rod acting between the plates for forcibly coupling the plates to movement, the coupling rod connecting each two plates is articulated on the panels to be connected
In most cases, swinging doors or sliding doors or closing doors are used to close building openings, such as outside or inside door openings or window openings.
Swinging casement windows or sliding windows Swinging doors and sliding doors are also known for furniture. Swinging doors and casement windows require a free space that does not hinder swinging when they are opened, while sliding doors and sliding windows are usually relatively complex and fault-prone fittings.
An alternative to this is provided by a device with the features mentioned at the beginning. Such a device has become known in principle from the AT 2619 U1.
The object of the invention is to improve the known device, in particular to achieve a kinematically and / or dynamically balanced movement or safe end position toning of the plates
This is achieved according to the invention in that two plates each are connected by at least one further coupling element in addition to the coupling rod
According to a preferred embodiment, this further coupling element can be a further coupling rod, preferably crossing the first coupling rod, which is articulated on the plates to be connected,
wherein at least and preferably one of the coupling rods has a limited variable center distance. At least one of the coupling rods can be mounted on at least one of the plates to be connected relative and normal to a plate-fixed joint axis with limited play, preferably in such a way that at least one coupling rod with preferably one joint axis preferably has an elongated hole aligned in the longitudinal direction of the rod. Limiting the vanable center distance of the (preferably) a coupling rod, in particular the elongated hole on the coupling rod for preferably one of the articulated axes for receiving the articulated pin, has the correct dimensioning that the movement of the plates ends in the desired end positions, the plates So z.
B cannot move beyond a rotation of 90 without "outer" stops being provided. The end positioning of the plates is thus secured to a certain extent by an "inner" stop
According to a further feature of the invention, the further coupling element can be subjected to force. This can happen, for example, if the further coupling element is a coupling rod, in that this coupling rod is resiliently mounted on one of its hinge axes
The additional force-acting coupling element can, however, also be a tension spring which is under tension and which connects the two plates, wherein the tension spring can be arranged such that it crosses the coupling rod.
Instead of a tension spring would also be a variable-length rod element with energy storage, for. B. a coupling element consisting of hydraulic cylinder and piston rod is conceivable
The additional, force-applied coupling element according to the invention primarily results in a forcefully balanced movement sequence of the plates.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings using an exemplary embodiment:
1 shows a view of an end position of a device according to the invention with two rotatably mounted square plates, FIG. 5 shows the other end position of the plates, FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 illustrate intermediate positions
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the device according to the invention for closing an opening consists of two square plates 1, 2. In FIG. 1 the plates 1, 2 are in the closed position and in FIG. 5 in the open position next to the opening now to the right of the plates 1, 2 ( e.g. a building wall or furniture, etc.).
It would of course also be possible for FIG. 1 to show the plates 1, 2 in the open position if the opening to be closed were to the right of the plate arrangement shown in FIG. 1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The two plates 1, 2 can be rotated in the area of their corners about an axis 4, 5 normal to the plane of the plate. The axes 4, 5 are located near the upper or lower corner of the opening to be closed, on the side of the opening over which the Plates 1, 2 can be swiveled when opening
The plate 1 is articulated to the plate 2 by a first coupling rod 6, i. H.
the coupling rod is articulated near its ends on the plate 1 and on the plate 2, in the exemplary embodiment shown by articulated axes 7, 8 oriented normal to the plane of the plate. Simple axle pin bearings are also sufficient for the articulated mounting of the coupling rod 6, and only a rotational movement of the coupling rod 6 relative allow to plates 1, 2. The center distance on the coupling rod 6 remains constant. Such a coupling rod with a constant center distance is referred to as a rigid coupling rod.
However, the two plates 1, 2 are also connected to one another with the aid of an additional coupling element. This additional coupling element is subjected to force in the exemplary embodiment shown and here consists of a second coupling rod 11 which crosses the first, rigid coupling rod 6 and which is on the plates 1, 2 is articulated.
However, while the first coupling rod 6 only rotates about the articulation axes 7, 8 and the center distance of the articulation axes 7, 8 does not change, the second coupling rod 11 is at least in one of its articulation axes 12, 13 - in the illustrated case with the articulation axis 12 - mounted with play, the axis spacing of the articulated axes 12, 13 changing during the movement of the plates 1, 2. The bearing pins of the articulated axes 12, 13 are arranged in a stationary manner on the plates 1, 2 11 is mounted, the bearing pin of the hinge axis 12 engages with play in the slot 14 and is acted upon by a compression spring 15
To open, i.e. to release the opening or
conversely, when the opening is closed, one of the plates 1 or 2 is pivoted by hand about its axis of rotation 4 or 5, the other plate then passes through the rigid coupling rod 6. Appropriate handles can be provided on the plates. The two plates 1, 2 can also be pivoted by engaging one of the coupling rods, which can also have a handle-like design.
1 to 5 illustrate the course of the movement of the plates 1, 2. In the first phase of the movement (from 0-20) (FIG. 2), the compression spring 15 is compressed and generates an initial resistance; in the second phase (from 20-45) (Fig. 3) the compression spring 15 relaxes, the door being accelerated; in the third phase (from 45 to 70) (Fig. 4) the compression spring 15 is compressed again and the movement of the door is slowed down, in the fourth phase (70 -90) the compression spring 15 relaxes again and pulls the door into the end position (Fig. 5)
A balanced movement of the plates also depends on where on the plates 1, 2 the articulation points or joint axes 7, 8, especially the first, rigid coupling rod 6 are located.
According to a preferred feature of the invention, a favorable movement sequence of the plates 1, 2 results when the joint axes 7, 8 of at least the first coupling rod 6 lie on the hypotenuses 16, 16 'of right-angled isosceles triangles, the apex of which lies in the plate rotation axes 4 , 5, and their cathets 17, 18, 19, 20 run parallel to the side edges of the square plates 1, 2, the one hinge axis 7 in a plate end position (FIG. 1, FIG. 5) from the connecting straight line of the plate axis 4, 5 has a significantly greater distance than the other joint axis 8.
It is advantageous that when the one plate 1 is rotated by 450, the other plate 2 also rotates exactly by 45, which results in an intermediate position according to FIG. 3, in which the plate 1 lies exactly above the plate 2. This is achieved in the aforementioned positioning of the articulation axes 7, 8 on the hypotenuses 16, 16 'according to a further feature of the invention in that the one articulation axis 7 from the connecting straight line of the plate rotation axes 4, 5 is at a normal distance of approximately 90% of the catheter length (the Cathets 17 and 20) and the other joint axis 8 has a normal distance of about 10% of the catheter length. This also applies if the two plates 1, 2 are only connected by a (rigid) coupling rod 6.
With the second coupling rod 11 (or generally with a further coupling element), the weight of the first coupling rod can also be compensated if the further coupling element 11 is arranged symmetrically with respect to the boundary line 21 between the end-positioned plates 1, 2 with respect to the first coupling rod 6 This means that-like in the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Drawings shown - also the hinge axes 12, 13 of the additional coupling rod lie on the hypotenuses 16, 16 ', the one hinge axis 12 being a normal distance of about 10% of the catheter length (the cathets 17 or
20) and the other hinge axis 13 has a normal distance of approximately 900 of the catheter length from the connecting straight line of the plate rotation axes 4, 5. This has the consequence that in the movement phase shown in FIG. 3, with a 45 ° rotation of the plates 1, 2, the entire device is in balance
An embodiment variant consists in that the plates 1, 2 are designed with two shells, the coupling rods 6, 11 being able to be concealed in the gap between the two parallel shells of the plates 1, 2.
It is also possible for only one of the plates 1, 2 to be designed with two shells, so that when the plates 1, 2 are rotated in the intermediate positions, the upper plate 1 engages in the gap between the two parallel shells of the lower plate 2, thereby ensuring good guidance the plates 1,2 is achieved in their rotational movement. The plates 1, 2 can also overlap slightly in the end positions, the plate 1 engaging a short distance in the gap in the double-shell plate 2.
A mutual sealing of the plates is thus achieved in the area where the flat plates 1, 2 adjoin one another in the end positions.
