The invention relates to an arrangement for hygienizing bulk goods, such as products from rotting processes, in particular compost, into a rotting container for killing or inactivating pathogens with superheated steam from a steam boiler
When processing waste in rotting plants, the final product, preferably compost, that is as recyclable as possible should be created in the shortest possible time. This is used, for example, in agriculture or in the private sector in gardens up to the addition to flower potting soil. The law stipulates that compost must be free of pathogens, which may, however, be contained in the starting material of the rotting and may at best find a favorable environment during the microbiological decomposition during the rotting process.
In order to ensure the safety of the end product of the rotting, hygienization to kill or inactivate viruses, bacteria or fungi as well as parasites and their permanent forms, at high temperature under water vapor saturation over a longer period of time, is required.
From WO 93/14795 A 1 a method and a device for the hygienization of waste and refuse is known which is crushed in a first stage by means of crushing rollers of a crushing plant and which is then conveyed into a rotating drum. The axis of rotation is designed as a hollow shaft and has radially aligned nozzles. A steam generator is connected to the hollow shaft via pipes. During the rotation, the steam is used for hygienization. This system is primarily used for waste and rubbish from the hospital sector.
The invention aims to provide an arrangement suitable for hygiene which can be arranged downstream of a rotting plant, for example. This is expediently achieved in that a shut-off steam line from the steam boiler, provided with the water vapor-saturated air flow to a shut-off line with outside air or conditioned raw air for e.g. B. a rotting process of a rotting plant is connected, that the lines are brought together to form a line and this line is saturated with water vapor and to a bactericidal temperature of, for example, 60-100.
C adjustable air is supplied to the rotting container, with a blower sucking or pushing the hygienizing water vapor-saturated air through the bulk material to be hygienized in the rotting container. The steam led from the boiler via a superheater of, for example, 180 ° C. and 1 bar is air, for. B. in the form of outside air. Fresh air or conditioned process raw air is added to a rotting plant in such a mass that the temperature required for water vapor saturation results in the hygiene, i.e. killing or inactivating the bacteria, viruses or pathogens of diseases such as parasites and their permanent forms. A typical temperature for this is, for example, 68 ° C., which is kept constant for 2 hours at 100% air humidity in the compost.
A blower sucks or presses the air through the contents of the rotting container. The air can also be pushed through in the rotting container to reverse the direction of flow. The hygienisation exhaust air is returned to the conditioned process raw air as warming air or a biofilter is fed in as exhaust air, which eliminates any unpleasant odors in the exhaust air before being released to the environment.
After the hygienization, which puts the compost in a hot and moist state, it is necessary to cool and dry the compost. For this purpose, it is expedient if in the supply line for hygienic air or for the air mixture to the rotting container there is a heat exchanger on the primary side connected to the boiler for heating and thus drying the air supplied to the rotting container after the sanitation phase in the drying phase of the compost.
In order to optimize the sanitation process, an advantageous arrangement is characterized in that a measuring sensor for the temperature in the air discharge of the rotting container is provided and connected to a computer which, when the sanitation temperature is about z. B. 68. C, the shut-off valve in the line from the boiler to keep the hygiene temperature in the rotting container constant, closes after a pre-set hygienization time and the air supply to the heat exchanger, if necessary, leads to heating and dehumidification
Process raw air or fresh air switches over.
To cool down, the heat exchanger connected to the boiler is switched off and the rotting tank from outside air or possibly process raw air to cool down the
Rotten to a temperature that allows filling in bags or the like. If the rotting container is designed to be airtight as a pressure container and the hygiene is carried out at excessive temperature and pressure, particularly resistant pathogens can be switched off.
The arrangement according to the invention is described below using an exemplary embodiment.
The figure shows a circuit diagram of a boiler-fed sanitation system.
For example, an oil or gas-fired steam boiler 1 is followed by a superheater 2, so that the line 3 superheated steam from z. B. 180. C and 1 bar. Via a valve 4, this can
Line throttled or blocked. Outside air 5 ′ or conditioned untreated air 5 ″ of a rotting process or optionally air conditions are introduced in line 5, with a valve 6 for
