The invention relates to a fertilizer throwing device for spreading an air-dust mixture using compressed air according to the preamble of claim 1.
The application of fertilizer dust in agriculture and forestry serves on the one hand to counter harmful environmental influences ("acid rain") and on the other hand to promote plant growth.
The previously known devices consist of a vehicle with a tank room for transporting the fertilizer and a compressor, which is attached to the vehicle and provides the compressed air, with the help of which the dusty fertilizer is conveyed from the tank room to a blow-off pipe, via which the fertilizer dust finally is applied.
With the previous embodiments of these devices, in particular of the blowpipe, only insufficient throwing distance can be achieved, also in the case of the invention designated as prior art (patent DE 35 12 642 A1, Schmidt Franz), where the dust expansion essentially takes place via a "straightforward Verbias pipe" ( 5 of the above-mentioned patent). The main purpose of this construction is to distribute the dust evenly over the widest possible area.
This is to be done firstly by means of a swiveling device and in a further embodiment in which the blow-off pipe branches into three pipe sections, again straight and at certain angles to one another (see FIG. 11). Although this results in the desired broad fanning out of the dust jet, the mixture does not experience any acceleration in the blowpipe, since there is no constriction. It is only accelerated in the supply line.
The deflection shown and the branching, on the other hand, cause large flow losses, from which it follows that the blow-out speed and the expected range can only be negligible.
The invention has for its object to show a blowing device, which (mounted on a vehicle corresponding to the usual state) brings about a substantial improvement in the throwing distance for the fertilizer dust, whereby a larger area for forest fertilization is accessible from the existing forest road network.
To solve this problem, such a device is designed according to the preamble of claim 1 according to the marked part of this claim.
Because the blow-off pipe in the device according to the invention is equipped with a nozzle, the air / fertilizer dust mixture conveyed from the tank storage wagon is accelerated as much as possible, since the throwing distance which can be achieved is directly related to the nozzle outlet speed.
This speed in turn depends on the delivery pressure of the compressor. In principle, increasing the pressure also increases the speed. However, this only applies up to a "critical" pressure ratio at which the speed of sound occurs. A further pressure increase no longer leads to an increase in speed and the excess pressure energy is lost. At a delivery pressure of approximately 3 bar (absolute), which corresponds to the maximum permissible pressure for the tanker truck, there is already a supercritical pressure ratio and the entire pressure generator cannot be fully used.
This is only possible through the use of a supersonic nozzle (Lavall nozzle), in which an expansion is connected to the nozzle constriction, which enables further acceleration.
The use (or the correct design) of such a supersonic nozzle is an essential part of the proposed invention: in a simplified manner, the mixture of air and dust particles can be regarded as a homogeneous fluid with a very high density (in relation to pure air).
In fact, it is a two-substance flow, the composition of the dust having different fractions with wide dispersion with regard to their grain sizes. A precise description of this flow with mutual interaction between air and dust particles is only possible by using a specially developed flow calculation model. The new construction as a result of the calculations and the further improvements are explained below with reference to the figures:
1 shows a schematic representation of the throwing pipe (in the first development stage) consisting of the supply part, mixture nozzle and acceleration tail pipe.
2 shows the throwing pipe with supply air injection directly after the mixture nozzle via supersonic supply air nozzles, which are arranged on the circumference of the tail pipe parallel to its axis.
FIG. 3 shows a variation to FIG. 2 with supersonic supply air nozzles opening at an angle into the tail pipe.
Fig. 4 shows a schematic representation of the throwing pipe with a supply air nozzle in the form of a
Annular gap nozzle in the front area of the tailpipe.
5 shows a schematic representation of the overall system with the compressors for the dust-conveying air and the additional air, the tank room, and the supply hoses to the throwing pipe together
Shut-off valves, as well as the swivel device with the throwing pipe itself.
FIG. 6 shows a circuit modified from FIG. 5 with a main compressor (for conveying air
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
and auxiliary air) and an auxiliary compressor for further compression of the supply air.
The first development stage (Fig. 1) is the arrangement of the mixture nozzle (4) specially calculated for supersonic flow after the feed pipe (3) for accelerating compressed air and rod material, which is followed by a pipe (5) of constant diameter for further acceleration of dust particles. The physical process is that the compressed air is first accelerated by converting pressure energy into speed energy, whereby the small fractions of the dusty fertilizer can follow quickly, while the large and heavy particles still remain. These are subsequently accelerated further by the relative speed to the mixture of air and fine dust components and, above all, brought to a higher speed in the cylindrical tube (5) arranged after the mixture nozzle (4).
It is not the goal to achieve a uniform speed of all dust particles at the outlet of the mixture nozzle (4) or the acceleration pipe (5), rather a wide throwing range of the mixture of fine and coarse, dusty fertilizer particles that is as common as possible is desired. However, this arrangement is achieved precisely because the small particles and the air exit at a relatively high speed, but the heavy particles escape correspondingly more slowly. However, since these large particles are then less braked by the air during their throw (and thus overtake the finer parts), they release kinetic energy into the air and fine dust particles again, which results in a uniform, large throw of the mixture .
The entire system (corresponding to FIG. 5) consists of a device (12) which is designed in the sense of a throwing tube (2) with a turntable (11) and can be pivoted in height and which is attached to the rear of a tanker truck (1). For the purpose of spreading the areas adjacent to the forest road, the system is operated accordingly by pivoting about the vertical axis of the turntable (11) and by pivoting about a horizontal axis of the throwing tube (2), the connection to the tank (1) being flexible Hose (13) takes place. The air conveyed by a suitable compressor (18) is fed into the bottom of the tank truck (1) into a funnel-shaped space which is separated from the rest of the tank space by an air-permeable sieve.
The dust-like fertilizer material is stored on the sieve, which is whirled up when the air passes through the sieve and is conveyed with the air via the above-mentioned flexible hose (13) to the throwing pipe (2), where the air-dust mixture in the specially profiled mixture nozzle (4 ) and is accelerated in the subsequent straight acceleration pipe (5).
As a further embodiment of the invention, it seems sensible to carry out an additional acceleration of the mixture. However, this should be done without further increasing the pressure in the tank container (1), since otherwise it would be too heavy and the transport options on the forest roads would be too difficult or the proportion of fertilizer to be introduced would be too low.
The following arrangement is therefore provided: a feed pipe (3) into which the conveying air brings the dust from the tank (1) through the flexible hose (13), the above-mentioned mixture nozzle (4) for accelerating this mixture of air and dust, and various for the purpose of further supplying energy at the beginning of the acceleration tube (5)
EMI2.1
in relation to the air-dust mixture - much lower density in the supply air nozzles (6, 7 or 8) accelerated much better. In the subsequent mixing process, this high speed energy of the additional air is also transferred to the mixture, which ultimately results in a further increase in the blow-out speed.
The required additional air (according to FIG. 5) is either applied as excess air from the first compressor (18) (at an absolute pressure of 3 bar) or from a further compressor (19) with an even higher pressure (e.g. 4 to 5 bar) provided. The compressors are switched via valves (15, 16, 17), the second compressor according to FIG. 6 also being able to be designed as an auxiliary compressor (20).
The additional air is fed in after the mixture nozzle (4), the flexible hose (14) opening into an annular space (9) around the end pipe (5), from where a plurality of supply air nozzles (6, 7 or 8) are supplied. The various possible embodiments are shown in FIGS. 2 to 4.
Fig. 2 shows parallel to the tailpipe axis additional nozzles, parallel (6), which open into the tailpipe (5) with a slight deflection. The boundary layer of the dust-laden main flow is particularly accelerated. Four or even more of these nozzles (6) —evenly distributed — can be arranged on the circumference of the end pipe. Fig. 3 shows a variant with an oblique angle at an angle to the tailpipe axis with up to 25 opening air nozzles, oblique (7). This arrangement mainly accelerates the core of the mixture flow. An embodiment in the form of an annular gap nozzle (8) with a cylindrical opening according to FIG. 4 is particularly suitable for further accelerating the dust particles accumulated in the wall boundary layer.
