Die Einrichtung besteht aus einem trogartigen Behälter 1, hier von halbkreisförmigem Querschnitt, der auf Standfüßen 2 ruht. Diese Abstützung gegenüber dem Boden 3 ist für die Erfindung nicht wesentlich. Dieser trogartige Behälter 1 kann auch in einem Traggestell pendelnd aufgehängt werden. An der einen Stirnseite dieses trogartigen Behälters 1 ist ein Dampfgenerator 4 festgelegt mit einem hier nicht weiter veranschaulichten elektrischen Anschluß. Da diese Bänder 12 mit den seitlichen Längsteilen des Behälters 1 fest verbunden sind, liegt, bedingt durch die Rundungen des Rumpfes, dieser mittig auf der Auflage. Der Körper wird gemäß seinen Masseteilen in die Mitte der Auflage zentriert. Es ist eine feste Unterlage geschaffen, die den einzelnen Körperpartien angepaßt ist. Diese Anpassung wird als sehr wesentlich und wichtig erachtet, im Gegensatz zu einer Anpassung an das Gewicht einer liegenden Person, wie dies bei bekannten Auflagen der Fall ist. Infolge der pulsierenden Bewegung des Rumpfes durch die Arbeit der Lungen wird durch diese Konstruktion das vertikale Durchbiegen der Wirbelsäule verhindert, und der dadurch entstehende Druck wirkt sich äußerst günstig aus, nämlich in einem Streckvorgang auf die Wirbelsäule. Der Vorteil, der sich aus der Verstellbarkeit der Bänder 12 ergibt, also aus der Änderung ihres Durchhanges, liegt auch darin, daß dadurch an der Wirbelsäule des die Einrichtung Benutzenden die Lordose verändert wird, und zwar im Sinne einer Streckung. Dadurch wird die Wirbelsäule abschnittsweise an verspannten Stellen gestreckt. Bandscheiben nehmen bei Entlastung der Wirbelsäule, also beim Auseinanderziehen der Wirbelsäule, wieder Flüssigkeit auf. Durch die hier vorgesehene intensive Wärmebehandlung wird dieser Vorgang unterstützt. Die hier angestrebte Entlastung wird beim Liegen erreicht. Die bisher mit der erfindungsgemäßen Einrichtung gemachten Erfahrungen bestätigen die vorgetragene Auffassung.The use of the device results from the structure described above.
