AT 397 694 B The invention relates to a soot separator for exhaust gases, in particular internal combustion engines, with a housing which can be connected to an exhaust pipe, in which a perforated section of the exhaust pipe is embedded in soot separating material and which indicates an exhaust gas outlet. Such a soot separator is known from DEOS 35 41 685 for cleaning the exhaust gases of a diesel engine. The perforated section of the exhaust pipe is guided here in a straight line through a cylindrical bed made of oven coke, which is held together by a perforated jacket pipe which holds the perforated section of the exhaust pipe coaxially surrounds. This entire arrangement is arranged coaxially in a housing tube from which the exhaust gas connection comes off. This construction has the disadvantage that on the one hand the separation effect is not optimal and on the other hand the replacement of the separation material is cumbersome because it requires dismantling the end walls of the casing tube and pouring out the stove coke. The object of the invention is to provide an improved RuBabecheider which, compared to the prior art, achieves a significantly higher degree of cleaning with simple handling. The soot separator according to the invention is characterized in that the perforated section of the exhaust pipe in the soot separating material runs in a meandering shape and the soot separating material together with the embedded piping section is arranged in a drawer which can be pulled out of the housing and is in flow communication with the exhaust outlet of the housing. In this way, a significantly better effect of the available separating material and thus a higher degree of cleaning is achieved, and this at the same time as being extremely easy to handle because the separating material can be replaced without disassembling the soot separator. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the drawer is filled with basalt * or stone wool, copper or aluminum wool. These materials have excellent properties for separating soot. The soot separator according to the invention can be mounted entirely on the underside of the vehicle and 26 can be used for all gasoline and diesel engines; but it can also be used to clean exhaust gases from domestic chimneys or chimneys and industrial plants. The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing, in which a soot separator according to the invention is schematically shown in the sewing agent. The soot separator 4 can e.g. be switched into an exhaust pipe of a motor vehicle, 30 expediently between the engine and a heat exchanger and a muffler. The soot separator has an essentially box-shaped housing 17 in which a drawer 18 is arranged. The housing 17 has an inlet connector 19 for connection to the internal combustion engine and an outlet connector 20, via which it is closed to the heat exchanger. The drawer 18 which can be pulled out of the housing 17 is preferably oddgt with basalt or stone wool, copper * or aluminum wolves. filled and 35 penetrated by a meandering curved exhaust pipe 21 which is perforated and through which the exhaust gases pass into the drawer. The contents of the drawer 18 are easily interchangeable. 1. Soot separator for exhaust gases, in particular from internal combustion engines, with a housing which can be connected to an exhaust pipe line, in which a perforated section of the exhaust pipe line is embedded in soot separator material and which has an exhaust gas outlet, characterized in that the perforated section (21) of the exhaust pipe line runs in a meandering manner in the soot separating material and the soot separating material together with the embedded pipe section (21) is arranged in a drawer (18) which can be pulled out of the housing (17) and is in flow communication with the exhaust gas outlet (20) of the housing (17). 2. 60 RuEabschelder nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Lade (18) mit Basalt- oder Steinwoile, Kupfer- oder Aluminfumwolis gefüllt ist Hiezu 1 Blatt Zeichnungen 562. 60 RuEabschelder according to claim 1, characterized in that the drawer (18) is filled with basalt or stone wool, copper or aluminum foils.
