Abstract

The power saws used nowadays have saw chains which are continuously lubricated and have to be sharpened, often with considerable effort. The invention of the tubular wood-working tool means that environmentally polluting chain lubrication is no longer required, sharpening of the teeth is made significantly easier and, in addition, even curved cuts can be made instead of only straight cuts. The tubular wood-working tool 1 has outwardly protruding cutting teeth 3. The tubular wood-working tool 1 is set in rotation by the drive motor 2, whereby the cutting teeth 3 cut out chips from the material to be cut, for example wood. Some of these chips pass through the opening 5, located under the cutting tooth, into the interior of the tube and are transported pneumatically or mechanically to the end of the tube and then into the open. <IMAGE>

AT 397 486 B Tubular woodworking tool Chainsaws that are driven by electric or internal combustion engines are used today for cutting wood and other materials. For the sawing itself, a saw chain is used that - continuously needs chain oil for lubrication, which pollutes the environment, - has to be sharpened in a complicated manner and - only straight cuts are allowed It is difficult to remove chips. With a tubular woodworking tool as a cutting element, the above disadvantages can be avoided. The invention provides that the tubular woodworking tool (1) is interchangeably connected to a saw motor (2). The tubular woodworking tool is hollow on the inside and has a plurality of cutting teeth (3) projecting radially and axially offset on the outer circumference of the pipe. These are aligned in the axial direction. There are recesses (5) immediately next to the cutting teeth. With a sharpening stone (4), all cutting teeth can be sharpened by moving them axially on the tubular woodworking tool (Fig.). The saw motor (2) rotates the tubular woodworking tool radially. It is guided against the object to be cut, with each cutting tooth cutting a chip out of the object. Most of the time the chip will get into the pipe and from there through a conveyor spiral, compressed air or other devices to the pipe end and then be transported outdoors only straight but also curved cuts can be made. PATENT CLAIMS 1. Cylindrical woodworking tool with cutting edges for use in hand-held power saws, characterized in that the cylinder is designed as a rotatably drivable tube (1) and blades (3) rising in an arc over the cylinder jacket and recesses breaking through the tube in front of each cutting edge in the direction of rotation (5) and devices for mechanical or pneumatic discharge of chips entering the pipe interior are provided. 2. Hiezu 1 Blatt Zeichnung -2-2. A tubular woodworking tool according to claim 1, characterized in that the cutting edges (3) are axially aligned so that they can be sharpened by axially pushing a sharpening stone (4) back and forth.
