Friction brake for Förderhunte u. like
The subject of the invention is a brake to be attached to conveyor hoppers and similar trucks, which differs from known brakes with wheel hub braking in that the two wheels of an axle are braked simultaneously with a braking device.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a side view of a conveyor hunt with the brake, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the wheel frame (viewed from below), FIGS. 3 and 4 show a longitudinal section of the released and applied brake; Fig. 5-7 show devices for automatically applying the brake.
The wheel b is firmly connected to the wheel axle a by means of a wedge c, whereas the second wheel b 'is loosely attached to the wheel axle and is held on the wheel axle by an axle collar. The wheel axle a runs in a sleeve d, which on the carriage frame by means of two

run to the axis. The ring f is held by means of a nosepiece i connected to the sleeve d in such a way that it can move on the axis, but cannot rotate.
A brake ring /, which also has a wave-shaped end face h, whose elevations and depressions fit into those of the ring f, sits loosely on the wheel axle a next to the ring f.
The second face of the brake ring is flat and is opposite the flat face of the

loose impeller 6 runs in a pan l of the sleeve d. The wave heights at the end faces of the ring f and the brake ring must together be greater. as the spaces between the impeller b and the rings /, the brake ring and the sleeve d, the socket l and the impeller hub b 'taken together (Fig. 3 and 4).
The brake is activated by a lever m which is pushed onto a pin n of the carriage frame. Furthermore, a heart-shaped driver o is attached to the bolt n so that it can be loosely rotated and the edges r of the brake lever engage on the two upper side tabs q. Two tie rods p and pi are hinged to the lower flap s of the joint o,

at the same time both brakes can be operated and operated from both ends of the car.
The operation of the brake is as follows: When the brake is at rest, the undulating elevations h 'of the brake ring j lie in the depressions h of the ring f, so that the above-described spaces between the sleeve d and the running wheel b', the running wheel b and the ring ', the Bremsringej and the sleeve d exist. If now the brake lever m in a

To secure the depressed brake lever m, angle pieces t are used on the longitudinal walls of the carriage, the free legs of which have several incisions t 'into which the brake lever m can be inserted.
The brake lever m, and therefore the brake itself, can also be set into action in a known manner by mechanical means and that the automatic adjustment takes place by stopping the lever m on a roller v arranged on a column u. Fig. 5 shows a car moving downwards, the brake lever m being depressed by the roller v, so the car is braked. In FIG. 6, the car is shown in the braked state when driving downhill at the moment when the end of the lever m hits the roller v, that is to say the brake is released.
