  Verfahren zur Herstellung plattenartiger Glasgefässe. 



   Das den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildende Verfahren zur Herstellung plattenartiger Glasgefässe besteht darin, dass eine Glastafel durch Einwirkung eines   Sandstrahlgebläses   bis auf einen umlaufenden Rand ausgehöhlt wird. 



   Die Anwendung des Sandstrahlgebläses ist bei Glasplatten zwar an sich bereits bekannt, beispielsweise zwecks Erzeugung von Verzierungen, zur Ausarbeitung von Inschriften, zum Einblasen von Löchern oder dergl., dagegen ist die Herstellung   grösserer Gefässe mittels des     Sandstrahlgebläses, wie   solche Gefässe z. B. für Sezier-, Präparier-und Operationstische erforderlich sind, noch nicht in Vorschlag gebracht worden. Diese besondere Art der Herstellung derartiger grosser, plattenartiger Gefässe wird durch das vorliegende Verfahren z. B. gegenüber dem bisher geübten Auswalzen wesentlich vereinfacht. 



   Das Verfahren wird in folgender Weise ausgeführt :
Eine möglichst ebene, auf die Umfangsform des Gefässes zugeschnittene Glasplatte wird

 Papier, Kautschuk oder einem anderen, durch den Sandstrahl nicht angreifbaren Material bedeckt. Hierauf richtet man den Strahl eines in seiner Einrichtung bekannten Sandstrahlgebläses senkrecht auf die Platte und führt ihn, von Hand oder   mechanisch,   mit   gleichmässiger   Geschwindigkeit über die Oberfläche der Platte, die später den Boden des Gefässes bilden soll, hinweg.    Die aus Glas bestellende Platte   a.   ist mit dem   umlaufenden   Rand b versehen, der das Ablaufen von   Flüssigkeiten   verhindert. 



    Der Abfluss soll durch das in der Längsachse der Platte angeordnete Loch c erfolgen, welches noch mit einem besonderen Abflussventil versehen sein kann.   



   In den vier Ecken der Platte, und zwar an der Unterseite derselben, befinden sich Vertiefungen mittels deren die Platte auf entsprechende Zapfen des   Tischgeatelles aufgepasst wird.   



     Die Unterstützung   der Tafel könnte aber auch auf andere Weise erfolgen.
