Abstract

Ancillary arrangement for reservoirs of hydroelectric power stations, in particular river power stations, having a main weir and an auxiliary weir which is arranged in the vicinity of the storage root defined by the main weir and is movable as a function of the accumulating water. According to the invention, pumps 7 or 7' are provided, by means of which the accumulating water can be pumped up to the crest height of the closed auxiliary weir 3 or 3' into the storage space formed between main weir 1 and auxiliary weir 3 or 3'. This is done as soon as the storage level reaches the auxiliary weir. <IMAGE>

Incoming water that would accumulate at the auxiliary weir --3-- is pumped 3'-by pumps --7-into the space between the two auxiliary weirs and from there via pumps --7 '- into the main storage space. The pumps - 7 and 7 '- are indicated by arrows. Basically, an auxiliary weir --3-- together with the associated pumps --7-- is sufficient to achieve the effect according to the invention.

The weir shown in Fig. 2 consists of the following components: struts --9--, which are attached to a foundation --11-- and between which a weir plate --10-- is guided, a winch --12-- , with which the weir is opened and closed and a threshold --13--, which keeps mud and debris in a storage space --14--.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Additional device for the storage of hydropower plants, in particular of river power plants, with a main weir and an auxiliary device which is arranged in the vicinity of the dam root which is essentially determined by local conditions and which is movable as a function of the water which accumulates.
 EMI2.1
when the auxiliary weir is open, it has reached the natural congestion level (4), which is essentially determined by the position of the weir root.

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the crown height of the closed auxiliary weir is controllable in a manner known per se depending on the water produced. 3. 3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the crown height of the main weir is controllable in a manner known per se depending on the water produced.
