Abstract
A method with a drilling carriage 3 for protecting unstable or moderately stable, non-cohesive to slightly cohesive geological formations, in particular in tunnelling, a number of holes 13 being drilled in the formation 2 and being filled with formation compounds, the injection compound being injected immediately after completion of the drill hole 13 via the drill rod 6 still located in the latter, the drill rod 6 being withdrawn from the drill hole while the injection compound 14 is continuously discharged. The injection compound 14 is injected into the flushing passage of the drill rod 6, and, after complete withdrawal of the drill rod 6 from the drill hole 13, water or a solvent is pumped through the flushing passage. <IMAGE>
