<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

EMI2.3
--22--,gegen die Wirkung der Rückstellfeder --22-- verschwenkt, dass das Ende --23-- des Rückstel- #ers --21-- nicht am Auslösestift --9-- des Permanentmagnetauslösers --2-- anliegt. In dieser in Fig. 2 gezeigten Einstellung wird lediglich der Hebel --8-- durch die ihm zugeordnete, in Fig. 3 gezeigte Auflagefeder --24-- in Anlage an den Auslösestift --9-- des Permanentmagnetauslö- #ers --2-- gehalten.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The invention relates to a residual current and circuit breaker with switch for one
Middle conductor, in which the movable switching bridge of the circuit breaker arranged in one housing part with the movable contact arm of the one accommodated in another housing part
Switch for the center conductor is coupled via a slide guided on an intermediate wall of the housing.
It is known to mechanically connect a plurality of circuit breakers in the monitoring of multiphase lines to one another by means of actuation buttons protruding from the housings of the switches, the trigger mechanisms also having to be connected to one another. Triggers at least one of the miniature circuit breakers due to the response of its magnetic release or its
Bimetal release off, then the other miniature circuit breakers are opened. Since only the outer conductor has to be monitored, it is not necessary to give the central conductor a complete
Assign circuit breakers with mechanics, magnetic release and bimetallic release.
It has therefore already been proposed that the contact apparatus be assigned to the center conductor
Switch mechanically with the contact apparatus of the circuit breaker of at least one
To couple the outer conductor.
A circuit breaker with all-pole disconnection is known from DE-AS 1563919. In this known circuit breaker, a transmission element designed as a slide is provided, which is guided in grooves in the side walls of adjacent shell halves. A
The disadvantage of this known circuit breaker is that the actuating parts (knee joint parts) of the circuit breaker have to be designed with extensions that actuate the slide.
A circuit breaker in which the coupling of the circuit breaker contact apparatus with that of the switch for the center conductor is possible without changing the structure of the circuit breaker is known from AT-PS No. 378283. In this circuit breaker with switch for a center conductor, which is also known from EP-A1-149441, the movable switching bridge of the circuit breaker is guided over a circuit breaker on the side wall of the housing of the circuit breaker
Slider coupled to the movable contact of the switch for the center conductor. The slide has at least one projection which engages the movable contact of the switch for the center conductor and a projection which is designed as a pin and which is at the same time the bearing pin for the joint between the switching bridge and its actuating member.
The invention is based on the object, in a circuit breaker of the type mentioned, to use the coupling designed as a slide between the bimetallic magnetic release and arc extinguishing device equipped protected switching path and the simple unprotected switching path (switch for the center conductor) for further functions.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a test circuit known per se is provided with a test button, two test contacts and a test contact spring, part of the test contact spring being able to be applied to the test contact assigned to it by actuating the test button, and another part of the Test contact spring rests on a second test contact and is lifted off the test contact by the slide when the contacts are open.
As a result of the slide function according to the invention, the test circuit known per se is closed by a test contact spring which actuates two test contacts. At the same time, it is ensured that a contact is only closed despite actuation of the test button if the circuit breaker and thus the slide is in the position corresponding to the "on" position.
This prevents damage to the switch, even if the test button is pressed for a long time.
Further details and features of the invention emerge from the subclaims and the following description of an exemplary embodiment, in which reference is made to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows the fault current protection and the switch for the center conductor receiving housing part in the "off" position, FIG. 2 shows the circuit breaker from FIG. 1 in the "on" position. 3 shows the switch from FIGS. 1 and 2 at the moment of triggering by the permanent magnet trigger and FIG. 4 shows the release of the switch.
Before going into the description in detail, it is noted that the line protection part accommodated in the housing part, which is not visible in the drawings, for example that in AT-PS No. 378283 or EP-A1-1494. 41 configuration shown and described
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
can own. It is preferred that the slide included in the housing part visible in the drawings is coupled to the circuit breaker as described in AT-PS No. 378283 or EP-A1-149441.
The permanent magnet release used in the residual current protection visible in the drawings can be, for example, the hermetically sealed holding magnet release known from EP-A2-154619.
Although the coupling of the slide with the line protection part in the manner described in AT-PS No. 378283 is preferred, the invention is not limited to this embodiment, but any other possibility of coupling the slide with the release mechanism or the switching bridge of the circuit breaker whether this is done directly or indirectly can be used within the scope of the invention.
The exemplary embodiment of the circuit breaker according to the invention described below is a two module wide RCD which is independent of the mains voltage and can be actuated with a single switch. The switch has a (not shown), with bimetal
EMI2.1
switch) and a simple unprotected switching path (switch for the middle conductor), whereby the movable switching bridges of both switching paths are coupled to each other by a coupling. The residual current protection includes a permanent magnet release that receives the energy required for tripping in the event of a residual current due to the differential transformer (total current transformer) through which both switching paths flow.
A permanent magnet release --2-- is arranged in a housing --1--, which receives the energy required for tripping in the fault current through the differential converter --5-- through which both switching paths --3 and 4 flow. The switching gap --3-- arranged in the visible part of the housing is formed by the center conductor (N conductor) and contains a contact apparatus with a movable switching bridge - 6-.
The movable switching bridge --6-- is directly or indirectly coupled to the invisible, movable switching bridge of the circuit breaker via a coupling designed as a slide --7--, so that the movable switching bridge --6-- corresponds to the movements of the circuit breaker of the circuit breaker follows.
A lever --8-- is arranged in the housing --1-- about a bearing pin --36--, one end of which --11-- is assigned to the release pin --9-- of the permanent magnet release --2-- - is net. The other end --12-- of the lever --8-- has a nose-like projection --13-on which in the "on" position (see FIG. 2) there is an extension --15-- of an actuator --14-- which is pivotally mounted in the switch about an axis --16-- comes into contact. By latching the nose-like projection --13-- with the extension --15-- there is a pivoting
EMI2.2
Pin penetrating housing parts --18--, which, in the event of tripping, engages the jack support (not visible) of the circuit breaker, so that its tripping mechanism is actuated.
As can be seen from Fig. L, the actuator --14-- is in by a pin --19-- provided on the slide - 7--, which engages an extension --20-- of the actuator --14-- the "off" position against the action of the release spring --17-- is pivoted into the correct position for locking with the lever --8--.
The pin --19-- on the slide --7-- is also assigned an end of a reset --21-- for the permanent magnet release --2-- which can be pivoted by a bearing pin --10. This
EMI2.3
--22 -, against the action of the return spring --22-- pivots that the end --23-- of the reset # --21-- not on the release pin --9-- of the permanent magnet release --2- - is present. In this setting shown in FIG. 2, only the lever --8-- is engaged by the support spring --24-- associated with it and shown in FIG. 3 - in contact with the release pin --9-- of the permanent magnet release - 2-- held.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
In the switch there is also a contact position indicator --26-- which can be pivoted about a bearing journal --25--. This contact position indicator --26-- can be seen from the outside through a window --27--, from the outside through the window --27-- in the "off" circuit shown in FIG. 1, a field colored green and in the a red colored field of the contact position indicator --26-- can be seen in FIG. 2. The contact position indicator --26-- is actuated by the slide --7-- by means of an actuating pin --28-- which slides into a slot --28 '- of the contact position indicator --26-- which is open on one side, in the manner of a "pin" - Slit "clutch engages. It can be seen that due to this arrangement, when the slide --7-- is moved back and forth, the contact position indicator --26-- swings back and forth.
A test circuit is provided in the housing part of the RCCB that receives the residual current protection and is visible in the drawings. This test circuit has two test contacts --29 and 39-- and an essentially U-shaped test contact spring --30-- held in the housing. One leg --31-- of the test contact spring --30-- can be brought into contact with the test contact --29-- using a test button --32--. The other leg - 33- of the test contact spring --30-- is in the "on" position (Fig. 2), i.e. if the movable switching bridges of both switching sections are closed, on test contact --39-- on. As in Fig. 3
EMI3.1
Switch is damaged by closing the test circuit too long.
The function of the FI / LS switch is described below:
Starting from the "on" position shown in Fig. 2, in which the shoulder --15-- engages behind the nose-shaped projection --13-- of the lever --8-- and the restorer --21-- through the Pin --19-- on the slide --7-- is lifted from the release pin --9-- of the permanent magnet release - and in which position through the window --27-- the red field of the
EMI3.2
is supported by the actuating pin --34-- supported on the test contact --39--. B. triggered by pressing the test button --32--.
By pressing the test button-32-, the leg --31-- of the test contact spring --30-- is pivoted into contact with the test contact --29-- (Fig. 3), so that the test circuit is closed. This releases the permanent magnet release --2-- and the lever --8-- is pivoted against the force of its support spring --24-around the bearing journal --36--, whereby the extension --15-- of the actuator --14-- is released from the lever --8-- and the actuator --14-- under the action of the release spring --17-- into the position shown in Fig. 3, in which it is against a stop fixed to the housing - 37 is present, pivoted.
As a result of this pivoting of the actuating element --14--, the pawl support of the circuit breaker is actuated by the pin --18-- on the actuating element --14-- to trigger the switching mechanism. As soon as the switching mechanism is triggered, the switch reaches the "off" position shown in FIG.
Due to the fact that the slide --7-- is connected to the circuit breaker according to the coupling
EMI3.3
--21-- Reset the released pin --9--. When moving upwards, the pin --19-- on the slide --7-- comes into contact with the extension --20-- of the actuator --14--, so that it compresses the release spring --17-- into the position prepared for a new locking with the lever --8--, which has now swiveled back under the action of the support spring --24--.
Furthermore, the leg --33-- of the test contact spring --30-- was lifted by the actuating pin --35-- of the slide --7-- from the test contact --39-- assigned to it, so that the test circuit despite pressing the test button --32-- and contact of leg --31-- of test contact spring --30-- on test contact --29-- cannot be closed.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Furthermore, the contact position pointer --26-- was pivoted under the action of the actuating pin, so that its green field is now visible through the window --27--.
The switch can be moved back into the "on" position shown in FIG.
With the described FI / LS switch, a "free trip" is also possible. This is shown in Figure 4. The switch --38-- is not yet fully in its "on" position, but the movable switch bridge --6-- is already closed.
This position also occurs with welded contacts, for example. Although the slide --7-- is not yet completely in its position corresponding to the "on" position, the extension --15-- of the actuator --14-- is able to unlatch the outer conductor switching path. Likewise, the reset device --21-- has already been raised by the pin --19-- so far that the release pin --9-- of the permanent magnet release --2-- swings the lever --8-- to a latch between the lever --8-- and the actuator - 14--, d. H. release the engagement between the nose-shaped projection --13-- and the shoulder --15--.
In this position, the red field of the contact position indicator - 26 - is visible from the outside through the window --27 (the contact position indicator --26-- is not shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 for reasons of clarity).
