<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a lower guide for at least one, preferably displaceable, end wall of a damp room, in particular a bathroom and / or shower room, the lower guide consisting of two guide profiles arranged between two lateral frame posts, between which a guide slot is left free for the pendulously suspended end wall, the outer guide profile with respect to the damp room also being widened to form a foot that extends inwards and at a distance below the inner guide profile with a surface that slopes obliquely towards the damp room, and one of the two guide profiles is removable from the swivel path of the lower edge of the end wall.
This removability of the one guide profile makes it possible to pivot the end wall, which is already suspended in a manner capable of swinging, away from the lower guide in order to be able to clean the lower guide or to facilitate the assembly or disassembly of the end wall. In a known lower guide of this type (DE-AS 2747480) is the inner with respect to the damp room
Guide profile can be removed from the swivel path of the lower edge of the end wall in such a way that it is arranged around one in its lower region, one of two in the side posts
Bolt-formed axis can be folded inwards
if one of the previously
Side posts arranged and in corresponding front recesses of the guide profile engaging locking bolts formed bayonet-type locking by lifting the inner
Guide profile was solved. Apart from the comparatively complicated construction, this design has the disadvantage that the end wall can only be pivoted inwards into the damp room and, accordingly, the lower guide can only be opened and cleaned from the damp room, which is unfavorable in practice.
Accordingly, the invention is based on the object of improving the guide described at the outset in such a way that cleaning of the lower guide or assembly or disassembly of the end wall is made possible without having to enter the damp room.
The invention achieves the object in that the outer guide profile is divided above the foot, but below the swivel path of the lower edge of the end wall, and its upper part, which is latched or clamped to the foot, can be folded down or lifted outwards.
Since the upper part of the outer guide profile can be removed from the swivel path of the lower edge of the end wall, it is possible to swivel the end wall outwards, so that the lower guide is then also accessible from the outside and entry into the wet room can be avoided. Nevertheless, in the operating position of the lower guide there is no fear of water leaking to the outside, since the foot of the outer guide profile with its sloping surface that leads away any water coming from above to the damp room remains firmly attached to the side posts and that Water does not offer any passage to the outside.
It could be possible that water trickling down at the side posts reaches the surface of the upper part of the outer guide profile and then reaches the outside of the guide profile from there. To exclude this possibility, a gap is left between the upper part of the outer guide profile and the side frame posts. Water flowing out of the frame post then does not come to the surface of the upper part, but reaches the surface of the foot, which is inclined inwards anyway, and is thereby deflected from the vertical outer surface of the foot.
In the drawings, the subject matter of the invention is shown, for example, u. 1 shows the lower guide of a sliding end wall of a shower room or the like in cross section, FIG. 2 shows the corner area between the lower guide and the side frame post in a view from the outside, and FIG. 3 shows an embodiment variant in a representation corresponding to FIG. 1 .
The lower guide for a sliding end wall-l-a damp room, e.g. B. a shower room, consists of two between side frame posts --2-- arranged, formed by hollow profiles guide profiles --3, 4--. The inner guide profile --3-- in relation to the damp room is firmly connected to the two frame posts. Between the two guide profiles --3, 4--, a guide slot --5-- is left free, into which the end wall --1--, which can be suspended, is engaged.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The outer guide profile --4-- has a foot --4a-- which extends inwards and at a distance below the inner guide profile --3--, the surface of which slants towards the damp room. An upper part --4b-- is mounted on the foot --4a--, the dividing surface --6-- running under the swivel path of the lower edge --7-- of the end wall --1--. The upper part - has two downward holding legs --8, 9--, with which it overlaps the foot --4a-- outside and inside. In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the upper part 4b 'on the foot is only held in a clamped position and can be lifted off with the appropriate application of force.
According to Fig. 1, the outer holding leg --9-- has an inward bend at the bottom - which ends in a bulge --11--. The bend --10-- engages through a longitudinal slot --12-- of the foot --4a-- in a slot-shaped cavity --13--, so that the upper part --4b-- from the one in Fig. 1 shown operating position can first be raised a little and then folded down into the dash-dotted position, in which it is possible to pivot the end wall outwards. From Fig. 2 it can be seen that a gap --14-- is left free between the upper part --4b-of the outer guide profile --4-- and the lateral frame post --2--.
